WHILE HAVING EXHAUST WORK DONE THE MECHANIC NOTICED THE FRAME ON MY 1997 HONDA PASSPORT WAS RUSTED. THE DEALER DESCRIBED IT AS 100% RUSTED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE (ABOUT 1 FOOT LONG BEHIND THE FRONT TIRE) AND 50% ON THE DRIVER SIDE. I REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO HONDA AMERICA AND RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE LOCAL DEALER STATING THAT HONDA WAS GOING TO DO SOMETHING, BUT NEEDED TO HAVE ALL THE REPAIR COSTS DOCUMENTED. Radio system is making cracking noise and audio cuts in and out which requires it to be turned off in order to get it to stop. The noise can be startling and the need to unplug audio and turn unit on and off creates a safety issue. From my research this appears to be a common problem with these vehicles.

Adaptive cruise control and Lane keeping assistance warning lights pop-up sporadically on the dashboard. I have had the car serviced at several different Honda dealerships 5 plus times and every time they say that the reason why the warning lights pop up is because the battery is defective. I've only had the car for a couple of months in the battery has been replaced three times. The warning lights on the car and the battery dying and needing to be replaced by AAA and Honda at least three separate times has been a concern for me from the moment…

The engine idle at stop function is not operating properly. The on/off switch only works some of the time, so I cannot control the function. It seems to turn off and on at random. When in stop and go traffic for any length of time where I need to edge forward every moment or so, the car is hesitating while the engine re-starts. I get honked at and am worried I'll get bumped from behind while waiting for the engine to turn on and be responsive. I cannot get the function to turn off when I need it to for my sense of safety.

WHEN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE ON A TWO LANE ROAD, THE VEHICLE WILL GIVE FALSE FORWARD COLLISION ALERTS FROM ONCOMING VEHICLES IN THE OPPOSING LANE. WHEN DRIVING ON A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY WITH ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, VEHICLES DRIVING SLOWER IN THE LANE TO YOUR LEFT WILL CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN SUDDENLY (THERE ARE NO VEHICLES IN FRONT ). Vehicle has 11,500 miles on it and constantly pulls to the right. Pulls harder under hard acceleration, requiring steering correction when accelerating hard and again correcting when backing off the accelerator. Have had to dealer multiple times. They claim they can't fix. Correcting to the left under load and back to the right can cause car to weave at highway speeds and cause it to be unstable. Car is available for inspection upon request.

Vehicle has a delayed response to accelerate as if the transmission doesn’t want to shift or missing the next up shift. Starting from a stop position you have to press further down on the accelerator to get the vehicle to move which could lead you to accident either hit someone in front of you cause the vehicle lurched forward or possibly hit from the side or rear cause the vehicle won’t accelerate

When backing out of a driveway onto a busy street, I put the car in reverse and back out into the lane of traffic. My 2026 Passport has severe transmission issues that the dealership and Honda North America are not acknowledging. The shifts are harsh at any speed. The downshifts (especially from 40-0 mph) are consistently violent and jerky. I cannot drive this car smoothly enough to keep my newborn baby in it because the car rocks and lunges enough to disturb him. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
