DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR CAME LOOSE WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO ADJUST IT ON THE INTERSTATE. THE SUN WAS SHINING IN FROM THE LEFT AND I WANTED TO PLACE THE VISOR TO THE LEFT SO THAT THE SUN WOULD NOT SHINE IN MY EYES. WHEN IT CAME LOOSE IT WAS DANGLING BY THE ELECTRICAL WIRE AND OBSCURING MY VISION TO THE ROAD IN FRONT. FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER, STOP AND PUSH IT BACK IN PLACE AND LOCK IT WITH THE LOCKING TAB. IT WILL STAY IN PLACE AS LONG AS IT IS NOT UNSNAPPED FROM THE LOCKING TAB.

ICE FORMS BETWEEN THE OUTER FLAPPER AND THE INNER FLAPPER OF THE CAPLESS GAS TANK IN THE FUEL DOOR. THIS PROHIBITS THE OWNER FROM PLACING THE FUEL NOZZLE INTO THE FILLER NECK TO ADD GASOLINE TO THE VEHICLE. THIS INCIDENT HAPPENS WHEN OUTDOOR AMBIENT TEMPERATURES REACH FREEZING. There was an engine failure with a rod bearing in the engine. I believe the engine is still available at the shop that replaced it for review. I have already raised this issue with Honda and they were not interested in seeing the motor. The truck stalled out on the highway on the way to work during high traffic time. The truck was looked at by an independent auto repair shop. After the failure the engine did restart, and it was obvious by the noise that it had a bearing failure. There were no symptoms that the engine would fail before fai…

The wireless charging pad does not work, no matter what position the phone is. I have tried with the case off, so that's not the issue. And I've also tried multiple phones. It pretends to power on and start charging but then it stops in less than a minute, even WITHOUT driving the car....so the phone has no chance to move.

I purchased a 2025 Honda Ridgeline and noticed that the turn signal is hardly audible. If you have the radio on or the windows rolled down, you will not hear the warning tone. In the infotainment system there is an adjustment that allows you to raise the volume of the warning indicator and even at the highest volume you can barely hear it. I also found that I am not alone and that this ia a common problem with some Honda models. Every other car I have ever owned made a mechanical or audio tone to warn that the signal light is active. I change the oil the very next morning only to find the noise getting louder. The car is at the dealer now and the dealer is fighting me tooth and nail not to cover the work…

When the vehicle is in drive, stopped on a steep hill, and allowed to slip backward the software puts the transmission in neutral and shuts of the engine off. This leaves the vehicle coasting backwards with very little steering or brakes. This happened to me and I coasted backward across a street before I could get it stopped. The February 2022 edition of Consumer Reports, page 19, identifies 2017-2020 Honda Ridgeline (and others) as having a faulty Hood Latch that could release as the vehicle is in motion thereby blocking the driver's view of the road. I cannot find any evidence on your website or that of Honda's about a recall or a fix for this issue. Please look into this matter and get back to me as soon as possible. While trying to feel for the composite bed release button underneath the tailgate with the tailgate closed, the sharp composite bed of the truck lid sliced my finger open. The manufacture should have at least chamfered the edge of the trunk lid or installed a guard or trim piece that would prevent contact with the razor-sharp fiberglass-reinforced plastic material.

The paint on all four doors of my 2022 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition - White Pearl is cracking at the seam where sealant is applied, with visible rust beneath. This issue began at approximately 32,000 miles, within the warranty period. The cracks have worsened over time, and I’m concerned about potential corrosion and structural weakening of the doors.
In March 2025, I reported the issue to my local Honda dealer, who confirmed the cracks and instructed me to obtain repair estimates at their body shop. By May 2025, the regional Honda rep denie…

Both Drivers and Passenger doors won't unlock or open without significant' force. This only occurs sometimes but has happened many times over the last year. I have had witnesses (son's) in the car when this happens. It seems like the door locking solenoid is holding the doors locked and both pulling the handle and tryin to flip the unlock switch are difficult. The risk here is in a crash or fire, someone without strength, won't be able to exit the vehicle. I video'd this on 27Apr24 (can provide if requested).

I am the owner of a 2026 Honda Ridgeline, which I have owned for approximately seven months. Since taking delivery, the vehicle has emitted a persistent, very strong chemical odor consistent with volatile organic compound (VOC) off-gassing. This is distinct from a mildew or air-conditioning-related odor; the smell is present throughout the cabin interior as well as in the truck bed well, and does not correlate with AC use. In an effort to resolve the issue, I have kept the vehicle parked outside (not in an enclosed garage), with the bed well le…

Honda has an issue with the torque converters locking up on this vehicle year. Instead of fixing the issue through a recall, they pushed it off by extending the warranty. THE REAR VIEW CAMERA FAILED, BECAUSE WIRES IN THE HARNESS LEADING TO THE CAMERA (LOCATED IN TAILGATE) BECAME BARE AND THEN SEVERED THROUGH REGULAR OPENING/CLOSING OF THE TAILGATE. MANY OTHER RIDGELINE OWNERS HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE.

THE REAR BACKUP CAMERA THAT IS USED EVERY SINGLE DAY HAS GONE COMPLETELY BLACK. THE WIRE HARNESS THAT RUNS FROM THE TRUCK TO THE TAILGATE HAVE SPLIT DUE TO OPENING AND CLOSING. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM THAT IS NOT THE EASIEST TO FIX WHICH COSTS THE OWNERS. THIS WILL HAPPEN TO EVERY SINGLE 2017-2019 RIDGELINE. IT IS SIMPLY CAUSED BY OPENING AND CLOSING TAILGATE IN THE PARKED POSITION.

Lost brakes as I was trying to decelerate to make a left turn on FM 1472, still managed to come to a stop before hitting the traffic ahead of me that was also waiting to make a left turn. Smoke started to come out from the wheel wells. Put vehicle on parking, shut off engine, opened hood and found fire coming out from the back of the engine bay. Extinguished fire with a Fire extinguisher, and a few minutes later, a Fire Dept Truck arrived to hose it just to make sure it was properly extinguished. TRUCK HAS A VERY NOTICEABLE CLUNKING SOUND IN FRONT OF VEHICLE WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS. SOUND STARTED AROUND 1500 MILES. DEALER SAID IS WAS MOST LIKELY THE BRAKE PADS AS THERE IS A TSB OUT. THEY DIDN'T BOTHER TO CHECK AND SEE IF THE STRUTS WERE DEFECTIVE. THIS NEW TRUCK SOUNDS LIKE IT HAS 100,000 MILES ON IT. I'M VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE WITH THESE TYPES OF NOISES COMING FROM THE SUSPENSION/BRAKES.

BACKUP CAMERA FAILED WHILE BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPACE. REAR BACKUP CAMERA FAILED AS A RESULT OF OVERSTRESS OF WIRES IN TAILGATE. WIRES BROKE AS A RESULT OF NORMAL TAILGATE OPERATION.

Power train PCM failure caused gauge cluster to become unresponsive. While the truck was idling while connecting a trailer the gauge cluster went blank. I then attempted to shut down and restart the truck and it would not start leaving me stranded. While I did eventually get it started by replacing several fuses once it was running it had no turn signals and had an error message for the emissions system. Ended up taking to dealership and was told the PCM had failed. Truck was 49 months old and had 45k miles.
