OUR MOTORHOME HAD A HAMSAR ELECTRO-MAGNETIC FLASHER WHICH IS USED TO MAKE THE HAZARD LIGHTS AND LEFT/RIGHT SIGNAL BLINK. IT IS LOCATED IN THE FUSE BOX IN THE OUTSIDE COMPARTMENT, NEAR DRIVER'S SIDE. IT STARTED SMOKING AND SMELLED BURNED, LOTS OF SMOKE STARTED COMING INTO THE MOTORHOME. THE HAZARD WERE NOT IN USE AT THE TIME - WE WERE JUST PARKED AND IT WAS OFF. WE REMOVED THE DEVICE AND IT WAS ENTIRELY MELTED. NOT SURE WHAT CAUSED THIS, BUT IF WE WERE NOT IN THE VEHICLE AT THE TIME IT STARTED BURNING/MELTING, IT WOULD HAVE CAUSED A FIRE. I HAVE…

I WAS TOLD IT WAS PROBABLY A "GLITC" AND IT WAS OKAY TO DRIVE. HOWEVER, WE TOOK IT INTO A FREIGHTLINER/CUMMINS REPAIR FACILITY TO JUST CHECK IT OUT. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
