Owner report 11524214 · 2023-05-28 (May 28, 2023)

Was driving and my vehicle came up and said I had an issue with the electrical power steering assist system and was going to shut off. I was waiting at a red light the vehicle put itself in park and shut down. I restarted the vehicle and it would not move out of park or any of the windows or radio controls would function. I upon restarting four more times was able to get it back into drive and return home. The steering functioned fine but the radio, back up camera, aux power port, and windows still do not work. The vehicle would then go forward or in reverse when I attempted to come out of "park" but had not released brake yet. brought to dealer for repair 2/26/24 at 6162 miles. dealer replaced vacuum pump as cause of concern. the issue seemed resolved for maybe less than two weeks. same issue returned. This Gladiator had at the time less than 5k miles on it. I went to start the Jeep and there was no power. No lights, not starting nothing. I called the dealer. They would not deal with me without going through JEEP WAVE, Called a tow company to tow to the dealer purchased from. The tow truck driver tried to jump the jeep with his portable system. We did get a few lights, still not starting. When the Jeep was delivered to the dealer the service clerk witnessed the same issues. The gear wouldn't shift to neutral to at least remove the car from the busy street. The dash lights were flashing and as I tried to restart the car, it just made a grinding sound. Every single time I try to fill my gas tank, at any gas station, the gas pours out and shoots up fast out of the tank fill hole. I have even slowed down filling, and when I hear it getting close coming up the pipe, I let of the pump handle and it will still come up and splash out. I have 3100 miles on it, and it has done it every single time. I have to wipe gas off my fender and it splashes enough to run down on the ground every time. I think this is an immediate safety and environmental issue.

Several times while driving on the interstate highway, my gladiator starts shaking violently! It is just at normal highway speeds. It is not like going too fast or anything. It seems like if it hits some rough spot in the road that it begins shaking and won't stop. If I change lanes, it keeps going with the shaking. Not until I slow way down will it stop shaking. This vehicle has less than 5000 miles on it. It is scary and unsafe.

On November 3rd, while driving on the interstate, we drove over some uneven pavement. The steering wheel and vehicle started shaking. After slowing down, the shaking disappeared. It then reappeared again after another rough patch of highway. This is the 3rd time it's happened while we've owned the vehicle. Dealer always downplays our concerns.
