Lexus issued a Warranty Enhancement Program sometime in 2022. It stated that if the check engine light would illuminate due to moisture and cold in the air injection pumps and air switching valves. The warranty would be good until 10 years from first use which is 10/23 for this vehicle. I was not experiencing the problem at the time I received the notice so I files it. A few months later I started to experience the exact issue with the check engine light which would come on and render certain systems inoperable such as cruise control, The light…

Lexus has a safety issue of the OEM pre-installed Slim profile Roof Rack on the car. There was no option to elect if one wants this or not. It's simply installed to make a quick buck from the customer. Besides that being said, this OEM pre-installed Slim profile Roof Rack is a safety hazard due to fact as you drive above 45mph-55mph, drive hears noises and causing drive to look around trying to figure out what is making that noise which can lead to swerving / cause accident. My less than a year old Lexus GX550 was sitting in the driveway and the sunroof exploded. The car was not moving and it exploded outwards into a ton of pieces. The dealership claims that it is not a warrantable part. No foreign object hit the sunroof, even then it shouldn't shatter, only crack. It is my assumption that defective glass from the factory was installed into my vehicle and caused the sunroof to shatter for no apparent reason.

The driver-side front door window developed a crack suddenly while the vehicle was in normal use. There was no known impact, and no object was seen or heard striking the glass. The crack originated near the edge of the window close to the side mirror and spread across the glass. There were no warning messages, alerts, or prior symptoms before the failure. The failure appeared spontaneous. This condition poses a safety concern because the integrity of the side window is compromised. The crack continued to spread, which could reduce occupant pr…

HELLO, MY CAR IS TILTED TO THE RIGHT WHEN TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY. ALSO TILTED A LOT WHEN I TURN LEFT. THIS IS NOT NORMAL BECAUSE MY OTHER CARS DON'T BEHAVE LIKE THAT. I BROUGHT TO LEXUS DEALER BUT WAS INFORMED THE CAR IS NORMAL. HOWEVER, I NEED NTSB TO CHECK BECAUSE I DON'T FEEL SAFE WITH THIS CAR. NOTE: I THINK THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT BECAUSE THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE WHO COMPLAINED ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM.

This vehicle has had bad engine rumbling since I have Owens’s the vehicle and makes loud noises all the time since I have owned it new. Also this year car online has had known suspension issues and alignment issues. My vehicle pulls to the right all the time and steering wheel is off center. My GX550 is vibrating at all speeds. I took my GX550 in for service on [XXX] at Butler Lexus in Union City, GA, because of the vibration in my GX. They did a wheel alignment and a force road wheel balancing but this did not solve the problem. On September 3, 2025 I took my GX550 to Discount Tires in Douglasville, GA, where they took off all the old weight including the new ones that were added by Butler Lexus. I found no improvement as I drove home. I took my GX550 back to Discount Tires, I asked them to check the tires and wheels. I was …

I was traveling east bound on 161/16/37 near Raccoon Valley Golf Course in Granville OH. I was near MM 104. It was approximately 8:13PM and the road conditions were clear. No other vehicles were in front of or behind me. I heard a screech, the wheel jerked out of my hand to the left, and the wipers came on. I tried to regain control and keep the vehicle on the road. THIS VEHICLES PARKING BRAKE FAILS TO HOLD THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE, UNLESS THE TRANSMISSION IS ENGAGED IN "P" (PARK). As a result, the weight of the vehicle rests on the transmission notch that is engaged with the Park position of the transmission. Brakes squeal when backing up in the mornings and occasionally going forward. Maunufacturer is aware of the problem, but until recently would only allow dealers to order 1 repair kit per week. Now the manufacturer is allowing 4 kits per week to be ordered. This problem appears to affect 2/3s of all vehicles sold. Repair parts are taking 4 to 6 months to get. The manufacturer is not being responsive.

The issue started with the engine stalling while I’m driving, and one day the car failed to start. Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
