TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2008 LEXUS LS600HL. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, HE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND HEARD A GRINDING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE PAD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE WHEEL BEARING HUB ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THERE IS A CLICKING OR POPPING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS ANYTIME WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, AND WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT WITH THE BRAKES APPLIED. THE FREQUENCY OF THE NOISE HAS INCREASED WITH A SENSATION UNDER YOUR FOOT. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS WILL LEAD TO SOME TYPE OF ABS BRAKE FAILURE. I DID AN ONLINE SEARCH FOR THIS NOISE AND IT LOOKS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE LS MODELS. NUMEROUS PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM.
