I WAS SENT A LETTER FROM MERCEDES DATED NOVEMBER 2017 AND THE DEALERS AND THE MANUFACTURE WILL NOT GIVE ME A DATE. Car stops accelerating and shifts into neutral without warning I nearly got hit from behind. I have consulted several other Mercedes vehicle owners and all had the same issue. Two of the other owners stated that this happened on the interstate and was very lucky they were not involved in a collision. Both vehicles were GLC 300. Mercedes does not seem to have an answer to the issue and all previous owners traded vehicles for fear of dying.

IT COULD BE A BUMP, A TINY POT HOLE, EVEN A STICK, AND THESE TIRES WILL BECOME DEFECTIVE, EITHER BY CRACKING, BECOMING FLAT OR THE WHEEL BECOMING COMPLETELY IMMOBLIZED. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED ON THE ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT FOR HOURS BECAUSE OF THESE DEFECTIVE TIRES. I'VE COME INTO WORK UN-SHOWERED WITH NO SLEEP, BECAUSE I WAS STRANDED FOR SOMETIMES UP TO 12 HOURS BEFORE I WOULD GET HELP. ITS HAPPENED AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
