Mercedes refuses to come up with a solution. I have been dealing with this for 8 months now. I asked that they buy the car back since it is a safety concern. I do not feel safe driving it. yet i have to keep paying for the car that sits there? They are not coming up with a solution and i already had this replaced last October when it broke for the first time. i am really upset with owning a car i cannot drive because of safety concerns.

While driving on a California freeway at highway speed, the vehicle unexpectedly decelerated and the seatbelts tightened as though a collision avoidance or emergency safety system had activated. There was no apparent vehicle, obstacle, or roadway hazard present that would explain the event. The incident occurred while family members, including a child passenger, were in the vehicle. After I parked my car, I was walking in between another parked car and my vehicle and the tailpipe burnt the back of my left calf. I got out of the driver side. I was driving the car. This is also happened about six months ago to my daughter, who was exiting the car from the backseat and burnt her leg on the tailpipe because the tailpipe of this vehicle is located right under the passenger’s door and sticks out. I uploaded photos of the second-degree burn that I have. It’s blistering now.

My vehicle isn’t safe to drive and they did not have a repair available or solution available. I reported problem to dealer on August 5, 2023
