Owner report 11455489 · 2022-03-07 (March 7, 2022)

Sometimes after I hit the brake (hard or soft) but need to step on the gas again, the car pauses and does nothing for over a second, making it dangerous if you need to make a turn. Sometimes the car is confused whether to go fast or slow down so it does nothing and does not re-act to the driver pushing the pedal down. This situation can leave the driver in dangerous situations regarding on coming traffic

2020 AMG GLC 43 coupe here in Harrison, NJ. My driving style with this vehicle isn't different in any relevant way versus with past vehicles. There is an acceleration dead spot which is the default occurrence when I am coasting at a low speed and then go to accelerate. Common scenarios are driving toward an intersection and rolling forward as you determine if you are clear to go and then accelerating, or slowing down to let a car in the lane next to you go by so you can then switch lanes and accelerate. I swear, I've almost gotten killed a few …

The transmission intermittently shifts hard. When accelerating the car hesitates badly then lurches forward. The Dealer verified the concern, the transmission as a hard shift from 1-2nd. They performed various procedures to the hardware, but ultimately determined the problem is the software and that this is a known issue to Mercedes since early in the year. They have not been able to resolve the software issue. This creates a major safety hazard: 1. When changing lanes, the hesitation does not allow for proper acceleration creating a timi…

On Sunday, XXX at approximately 5:30 PM, I entered the parking lot of a Staples store at [XXX], in my 2025 Mercedes Benz AMG GLC 43 SUV. It was daylight and the weather was clear. There was no wind and the temperature was in the low 80s. I drove down a parking aisle and slowed down to make a right turn into an open parking space. After completing my turn into the parking space, I let my foot off the brake to allow the vehicle car to roll closer to the wheel stop. Once my foot was off the brake, the car suddenly accelerated on its own, and befor…

Moisture began collecting inside the left headlight assembly, even though the housing should be sealed. Over time, the condensation increased and the front left turn signal failed. The vehicle displayed warning messages for the turn signal, low beams, Blind Spot Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, and Active Brake Assist. The failed turn signal reduces the vehicle's visibility to other drivers and creates a potential safety hazard. A similar moisture intrusion issue was the subject of NHTSA Recall 22V-261 for certain 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLC vehicles, b…

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
