My 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 has become unsafe to drive due to strong gasoline fumes filling the cabin. Owner report 11723718 · 2026-03-11 (March 11, 2026)

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to file a formal safety complaint regarding my 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 involving a leaking fuel rail that caused the vehicle to shut down and become unsafe to operate. The failure of the fuel rail resulted in a fuel leak and engine shutdown. A failure within the fuel delivery system presents a serious safety concern, as it can cause sudden loss of power while driving and poses a potential fire hazard if fuel comes into contact with hot engine components. During the repair process, I was informed that th…

I HAVE HAD THIS VEHICLE FOR A YEAR AND A HALF AND I DON'T DRIVE IT MUCH. THE VEHICLE HAS 12,000 MILES ON IT AND I'M A VERY CAREFUL DRIVER. I VERY RARELY HIT ANY POTHOLES AND HAVE NEVER BEEN INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. AFTER MY TIRE KEPT LOSING AIR, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT THAT NOT ONLY IS ONE OF THE RIMS CRACKED BUT THE OTHER THREE RIMS ARE BENT. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED, CONSIDERING HOW CAREFUL I AM AND THAT NO ONE ELSE HAS EVER DRIVEN MY VEHICLE BEFORE. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT I WAS SOLD A VEHICLE WITH DEFECTIV…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
