Service advance trac ABS light In cross winds the system fails. Wind from either side The important stability control fails when you need it the most. ABS light is self explanatory. Called Ford and lady said she hears this issue a lot She mentioned that eventually it will disable the Rv. I’m in places where there is no phone service. Will be taking it in, but most people reported they throw parts at it and no fix.

NEW 2021 NEWMAR BAY STAR, WHICH HAS A 2020 FORD F53 CHASSIS. WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY THE SERVICE ADVANCETRAC WARNING APPEARED ON DASH ALONG WITH AMBER WARNING LIGHT. THIS DISABLES TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM INCLUDING CRUISE CONTROL, HILL ASSIST AND MAYBE ABS. PROBLEM HAS YET TO BE DIAGNOSED/RESOLVED.

RV was purchased March 2021, 700 miles on it when purchased. First time using it not 100 miles from home Service Advance Trac warning comes on, we lose cruise control when it comes on. Call Ford Service they tell us it is ok to drive that way, but should have it checked. Then ABS warning and check engine light comes on. Have had them worked many times and they still come on. (Not fixed) Brake handle comes off in three pieces (fixed), Hood latch does not work (took three months to fix), Recall on rear bearings (took a month to fix) Leveling ja…

Wheels	150.0% ODI 11436004 Discovered an approximately 4" long crack in the hub plate of a rear wheel. The crack goes through the serial number stamp on the wheel (possible stress riser caused by the serial number stamp?). The wheel has been taken out of service and is available for inspection. No other agency has inspected the wheel. There were no symptoms of an issue (no abnormal tire wear was noticed and no vibration or unbalance issues were noticed). The crack was seen when I was doing a periodic lug nut torque check. When this happens traction control, hill assist & cruise control all shut off without any warning. Sometimes the ABS light illuminates also. Ford does not seem to have a fix for this problem as it has effected many newer F53 chassis. Ford tells customers to just stop for a few minutes & cycle the key. It clears it for a little while but always comes back on. No trouble codes show up when scanning with an OBD2 scanner. I called factory support and was told to take it to their authorized repair shop at my expense. The brakes on the Ford chassis were damaged due to extreme heat before the unit was sold to me and have been damaged 2 additional times due to extreme heat in the first 3,500 miles. The unit was purchased new and had 1,460 miles when purchased in August 2022. Ford is attempting to repair the vehicle again and have had the unit in their possession for 9 months. We are concerned with a brake failure or fire hazard and have asked the manufacturer to repurchase the unit from us under the Texas Lemon Law.
