Owner report 11760753 · 2026-08-30 (August 30, 2026)

I am filing a formal safety complaint regarding a severe electrical failure and fire hazard inside the fuel tank of my 2015 Nissan NV200, directly related to Safety Recall PMA56 (NHTSA 25V676000). The dealership performed the recall service but refused to replace the fuel pump module, claiming no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) were present. Experiencing ongoing symptoms, I purchased an OEM replacement fuel pump and extracted the original module myself. Upon disassembly, I discovered: 1. 1. On September 9, 2021, my 2016 NV 200 suddenly and unexpectedly broke down in Gila Bend AZ on a trip from the Bay Area to Austin to visit my grandchild. After refueling and pulling back onto the road towards the Interstate 8 on-ramp, the vehicle suddenly died. It was extremely difficult to steer it towards the side of the road and the ignition was inoperable. 2. I was unable to get the vehicle completely off the road and semi's were honking at me because I was dangerously in their path. There could easily have been a collision. I called …

On 9/25/25 I was driving through a green light in Baltimore MD. The streets were grand view and w cold spring lane . A driver ran the red light from my left side and hit me so hard he totaled my 2014 NV200 cab edition. Owner report 11468620 · 2022-06-10 (June 10, 2022)

The vehicle safety switch is bad and Nissan dealers will not sell the part unless you buy the entire transmission. I bought this transmission in Nov 2020 from Nissan Dealer and the part is malfunction allowing it to start in all gears. The warranty on the transmission is 12,000 miles or 12 months. At this point, I am forced to drive this vehicle which can make it hazardous. Nissan is insistent that will not sell the part unless I buy a whole new transmission. How can that be?

Owner report 11758223 · 2026-08-20 (August 20, 2026)

My vehicle received a Nissan recall repair for a fuel pump/fuel tank temperature (FTT) sensor harness defect that can short-circuit and blow the fuel pump fuse, causing a stall. About three weeks and 350 miles after that repair, the engine stalled unexpectedly while driving on a public road, creating a crash risk. An independent shop diagnosed it: fuel pump fuse blown, FTT sensor fault code present, no fuel pump activity on key-on-engine-off test. Replacing the fuse got it running, but the fault code stayed pending, meaning the underlying issu…

My passenger airbag light has been on ever since I've owned this vehicle starting January of 2019. I see there has been an open recall on this since May of 2016, which means it hasn't been solved in over 5 years. I feel less comfortable about driving my partner around in my van knowing her airbag may not go off in the event of an accident.

We have a fleet of eighteen NV200s. The one that was listed was just repaired on 11/20/23. It had issues with the occupant air bag system. The issues with the air bag system are happening in other NV200s that we own. I believe there is a defect in these vans that could lead to them not operate as designed, causing injury or death. The other air bag issues we have had in the NV200s, not including the one in this report, happened on 5/18/23, 5/19/23, 9/28/23, and in 10/20/21. I have the invoices for all repairs of each of these vans if needed.

we own a Nissan NV 200 that was getting an air bag error light on the dashboard. We took it to a local nissan dealership in Dayton NJ who said the airbag sensor under the passenger front seat was damaged and the seat will get stuck because since it came loose from it support it looks like it got stuck int he seats track. Nissan is saying the driver did this but it is protected by a drawer and two other sensor which are under the seat and would have also been damaged if this were the case. The Nissan NV 200 heaters stop working. We now have 3 NV 200's (2 model year 2014 and 1 model year 2020) with non-working heaters. The blower works, but only blows cool air. When the windshields fog up, they cannot be defrosted. This has become a significant safety issue being that these vehicles are driven in Cleveland, OH. Repair facilities have not been able to fix the problem.

The airbag light is flashing and I have had it checked with a dealer-level scan tool, but it has no codes. I have deduced that there is an issue with one of the weight sensors under the passenger seat and it is not sending a signal. I have confirmed this by noting that the Airbag Off light is luminated when I am sitting in the seat or driving with an adult passenger, so basically it is not sensing that the seat is occupied and therefore the passenger airbag would not go off in a crash even though the seat IS occupied. Is that something that …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
