LETTER FROM SENATOR MCCAIN ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT RE PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED WITH HER 2012 NASH TRAILER (DOT/I#S 2012 251) NOTE: RESPOND DIRECTLY TO CONSTITUENT *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED HE HAD AN ACCIDENT WITH HIS BRAND NEW 2012 NORTHWOOD NASH TRAILER. HE STATED THE INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED HAD SWAY BARS BEEN USED FOR THE WEIGHT OF THE DISTRIBUTION HITCH. WHEN THE CONSUMERS HUSBAND REACHED HIS RENTED SPACE FOR THE RV, IT WAS SOON DISCOVERED THEY COULD NOT GET IT UNHITCHED. THEY CALLED THE DEALER, WHO WALKED THEM THROUGH ON HOW TO GET …

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NORTHWOOD NASH. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE CORNER WAS BLACK ON THE TOP REAR PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE RV WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT FROM THE TOP ALL THE WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE APPEARED TO BE AFFECTED DUE TO ROAD SHOCK. THE MECHANIC ALSO STATED THAT THE SHEET METAL WAS 3/4 OF AN INCH SHORT IN LENGTH, WHICH CAUSED THE STRUCTURE OF THE VEHICLE TO FALL APART. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED HIM TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO THEIR REPAIR SHOP FOR INSPECTION. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRE…
