Despite there being a safety recall for these devices (24v-190), and this truck meeting all requirements to be included in the recall, Peterbilt says it is not included and is currently offering no cost covered repair. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 14,000.
