TEMSA GLOBAL (TEMSA) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007-2012 TS35 BUSES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 217, “BUS EMERGENCY EXITS AND WINDOW RETENTION AND RELEASE.” SOME OF THE EMERGENCY EXIT MECHANISM INSTRUCTION LABELS MAY HAVE BEEN INSTALLED FARTHER THAN 16 CM FROM THE RELEASE MECHANISM.

Consequence: DUE TO THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS AND THE WINDOW’S RELEASE MECHANISM, IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, PASSENGERS MAY NOT RECOGNIZE AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR RELEASING THE EMERGENCY EXIT WINDOWS DELAYING THEIR SAFE EXIT FROM THE BUS AND , INCREASING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY.

Remedy: TEMSA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND NEW LABELS WILL BE MAILED TO OWNERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR BEFORE MAY 23, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TEMSA AT 1-404-602-0151.

12V544000 · Visibility:Glass, Side/Rear

Reported: 2012-11-23 (November 23, 2012) · Model years: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010

Temsa Global is recalling certain model year 2007-2010 TS35 buses for failing to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release." The buses may have one too few emergency exits on each side of the bus for the number of seats that the bus is equipped with.

Consequence: Passengers may be delayed in exiting the vehicle during an emergency which can increase the risk of personal injury.

Remedy: Temsa will notify owners, and will install a third emergency exit window on each side side of the bus, free of charge. The recall began on January 3, 2013. Owners may contact Temsa at 1-404-602-0151.

12V018000 · Service Brakes, Air:Antilock:Abs Warning Light

Reported: 2012-01-12 (January 12, 2012) · Model years: 2011, 2012

TEMSA GLOBAL (TEMSA) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 TS35 BUSES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 121, “AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS.” THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MALFUNCTION WARNING INDICATOR DOES NOT ILLUMINATE IN A CHECK LAMP FUNCTION WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED TO THE ‘ON’ OR ‘RUN’ POSITION.

Consequence: WITHOUT THE CHECK LAMP FEATURE, THE DRIVER MAY NOT BE AWARE THAT THE INDICATOR LAMP IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, AND IF THERE WERE AN ABS PROBLEM, THE DRIVER WOULD NOT RECEIVE A WARNING. A MALFUNCTIONING ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy: TEMSA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE BUSES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 15, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TEMSA AT 1-407-601-7801.

25V279000 · Electrical System:Wiring

Reported: 2025-04-29 (April 29, 2025) · Model years: 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025

Temsa is recalling certain 2021-2025 TS30, TS35, and 2021-2026 TS45 buses equipped with a Mux5-B multiplex. The temporary bus stop valve may activate unintentionally and apply the brakes, causing them to overheat.

Consequence: Brakes that overheat can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Temsa will inspect the multiplex, update the software, and repair the wiring harness as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 11, 2025. Owners may contact Temsa customer service at 1-833-628-3672.

24V549000 · Fuel System, Diesel:Delivery:Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings

Reported: 2024-07-23 (July 23, 2024) · Model years: 2024

Temsa is recalling certain 2024 TS35 vehicles equipped with certain Cummins L9 diesel engines. The remote fuel filter hoses may become separated from the fitting, which can result in a fuel leak and a lack of fuel supply to the engine.

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Additionally, a lack of fuel can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Cummins will replace the fuel filter hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 20, 2024. Owners may contact Temsa customer service at 1-833-628-3672.

25V354000 · Structure:Emergency:Escape/Egress/Exit:Latching/Release System

Reported: 2025-06-26 (June 26, 2025) · Model years: 2024

Temsa is recalling certain 2022-2025 TS30, 2023-2024 TS45, 2024 TS35, and 2025 TS45E vehicles. The lock mechanism may have been installed incorrectly, causing the roof hatch release handle to break.

Consequence: A broken handle could prevent or delay occupants from exiting the vehicle during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Temsa will inspect and repair the mounting surface, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 24, 2025. Owners may contact Temsa customer service at 1-833-628-3672.
