12V018000 · Service Brakes, Air:Antilock:Abs Warning Light
Reported: 2012-01-12 (January 12, 2012)
TEMSA GLOBAL (TEMSA) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 TS35 BUSES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 121, AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS. THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MALFUNCTION WARNING INDICATOR DOES NOT ILLUMINATE IN A CHECK LAMP FUNCTION WHEN THE IGNITION IS TURNED TO THE ON OR RUN POSITION.
Consequence: WITHOUT THE CHECK LAMP FEATURE, THE DRIVER MAY NOT BE AWARE THAT THE INDICATOR LAMP IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, AND IF THERE WERE AN ABS PROBLEM, THE DRIVER WOULD NOT RECEIVE A WARNING. A MALFUNCTIONING ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: TEMSA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE BUSES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 15, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TEMSA AT 1-407-601-7801.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2022: 0 complaints · 2023: 0 complaints

|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
