The vehicle is a 2018 Thor Freedom Elite 28LE. The incident occurred when the exterior LP gas connection ( for gas grill connection) dislodged and the gas line drug on the pavement. I don't know exactly how long it was loose before I discovered it - could have been four hours. The hose fitting ground almost completely off and was leaking propane when I found it. Approximately two gallons of propane had leaked out (full tank is nine). My issue of the manufacture is that the hose had no additional security other than the connection at the door as…

A BICYCLIST ALERTED US AT 0630 THAT OUR RV WAS ON FIRE AS IT SAT PARKED, OFF AND UNPLUGGED IN OUR DRIVEWAY. WITHIN MINUTES THE ENTIRE RV WAS IN FLAMES AND WE EVACUATED OUR HOME SECONDS BEFORE THE RV EXPLODED ABOUT 5 FEET FROM OUR BEDROOM WINDOW. 7 FIRE TRUCKS RESPONDED. THE FIREFIGHTERS SAID THAT IF WE DIDN'T HAVE A METAL ROOF, OUR WHOLE HOUSE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN FLAMES BECAUSE OF THE HOT EMBERS ON THE ROOF. OUR HOME, CAR AND LANDSCAPING SUFFERED DAMAGE AS WELL FROM THE FLAMES. AT FIRST, WE WERE JUST HAPPY THAT NO ONE WAS IN IT AND THAT NO ONE W…

During our last trip ending October 22, 2025 I had smelled propane from the bed occasionally when slide was out. I checked obvious components and found no propane leaks. After returning home and during winterization (Oct 26) I carried out a more comprehensive search for a possible propane leak. With the slide in (normal position when driving) I found the two propane hoses that supply range and water heater pinched and chafing on the slide wall. I can smell the propane slightly from area where lines are pinched. I feel if hoses are not replaced …

WHILE TRAVELING IN OUR NEW THOR MOTORHOME AT 60 MPH THE BEDROOM SLIDEOUT FULLY EXTENDED ITSELF. WE STOPPED ON THE SHOULDER OF THE TWO-LANE HIGHWAY AND RETRACTED THE SLIDE OUT WITH THE BEDROOM TOGGLE SWITCH AND THEN TURNED OFF POWER TO SLIDE OUT. STOPPED AT GAS STATION AND SLIDE OUT AGAIN EXTENDED ITSELF AND WOULD NOT RETRACT. CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WHO ARRIVED AND DIAGNOSED A BAD SLIDE OUT TOGGLE SWITCH AND REMOVED THE SWITCH. NEXT GAS STOP, SLIDE OUT AGAIN EXTENDED ITSELF AND HIT GAS PUMP (PHOTO ATTACHED). OUR NEW MOTOR HOME WAS RETUR…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
