8 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

20V148000 · Power Train:Automatic Transmission:Lever And Linkage:Column Shift

Reported: 2020-03-17 (March 17, 2020) · Model years: 2020, 2021

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Tellaro 20AT and 20LT, and 2020 Sequence 20A, 20K, and 20L motorhomes. The transmission shifter cable may separate and disconnect from the transmission, causing the vehicle to not perform shifts intended by the driver and the gear shift lever position not matching the actual transmission gear.

Consequence: The driver may be unaware of the actual gear position and unintended vehicle movement can occur, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the transmission shift cable, free of charge. The recall began May 15, 2020. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000185.

Reported: 2020-07-22 (July 22, 2020) · Model years: 2020, 2021

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Sequence and Tellaro motorhomes. The dinette booth seat belts may be too short preventing them from being usable by some occupants. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."

Consequence: Inability to use the seat belt may increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

The Engine shutdown four (4) times while driving all within the first 30-days of ownership. My safety was put at risk had another vehicle been following close behind and had it failed to stop and crash into the Van. I own a Thor Tellaro RV, body made by Dodge. Thor puts a 2nd alternator under the hood and a flange in front of it. This flange rubs against the radiator hose causing it to break. The coolant caused leaked out and the engine overheated and quit. Thor has acknowledged this problem, but Thor had no recall notice and will not cover the engine under warranty. This could have been a safety issue by starting an engine fire and having the vehicle stop in the middle of a state highway. Fortunately, neither of those things happened.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison
