WHILE DRIVING WITH THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SET A MESSAGE WILL APPEAR "RADAR CRUISE CONTROL UNAVAILABLE CLEAN SENSOR". THIS MESSAGE WILL APPEAR WITH NO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS. DUE TO THIS ERROR THE CRUISE CONTROL NO LONGER WORKS AND THE PRE-COLLISION WARNING SYSTEM NO LONGER WORKS. ALSO RANDOMLY A "BRAKE!" MESSAGE WILL APPEAR AND THE VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY SLAMS ON THE BRAKES WHEN NO EMERGENCY EXISTS CREATING A HAZARD FOR VEHICLES BEHIND.

LESS THAN 3000 MILES WHEN INCIDENT HAPPENED. WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH ON A HIGHWAY THE DASH SCREEN SAID BRAKE AND A CHIME WAS HEARD. IT WAS LATE EVENING 3 DAYS AGO AND THEIR WAS ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER VEHICLES AROUND ME. MY INITIAL REACTION WAS TO BRAKE HOWEVER I DID NOT. IT ALSO HAPPENED TWO ADDITIONAL TIMES AT ABOUT 45 MPH ON THE FINAL FEW MILES FROM MY HOME. THE INDICATOR DID NOT STAY ON LONG ENOUGH TO GET A PHOTO OF IT. 3 times in the last few mos the BRAKE! warning came on. Nothing was causing this warning to engage. This happened again today. Another issue is when the Valdosta Toyota (GA) dealer attempted to fix the fuel pump recall on 22 JUL 2020 it was assembled incorrectly. I called the dealership and told them to come and get my Tundra because gas was dripping onto my driveway. They sent a tow truck and it was supposedly fixed and they brought it back to me in about 2 hrs. It really does run the way it did before they “re-fixed” it. Very often now when i…

The contact pushed the vehicle into the gas station's repair garage where the mechanic informed him that the fuel pump was defective. The contact's husband then called the dealer where they informed him of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V682000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) which the dealer related to the failure; however, the VIN was not included in the recall. I WENT TO TURN RIGHT AT THE NEAREST AVAILABLE SIDE STREET SO I WOULD GET OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC. AS I WAS TRYING TO TURN RIGHT, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS VERY HARD TO TURN AND I ENDED UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF ROAD AND IMPEDING TRAFFIC. We were driving down an unpaved road at 8 mph in 4WDh in our 2019 Toyota Tundra when I heard a couple popping sounds from inside the car. Then it stopped. I opened the passenger side door to get out and check on the truck, and flames were pouring out under the engine. There were 3 of us in the car. We immediately got out and tried to pour water and throw sand on the fire. It grew very quickly, so we ran away. The electrical system malfunctioned, causing all warning lamps on the dashboard to light up. Because this happened while I was driving, I do believe that this electrical issue caused safety concerns for others on the road. The taillights went out first, seconds later, all remaining electrical failed at once, including airbags, windows, headlights at one point, pre collision warning lights, lane departure, and the breaking system failed as well. This caused safety concerns for myself, my passenger, as well as the public because all safety warnin…

According to Toyota, the 2022-2026 Tundra is compatible with 35x11.5 tires. These tires were installed by the dealer before my purchase. However, during turns, the tires heavily rub against the sway bar. This issue may be specific to the TRD upgrade package, which includes an upgraded, thicker sway bar. After driving for just 500 miles, noticeable rub marks have developed on both sides of the sway bar and visible marks on the inside of the tire. Tire rubbing can lead to faster tire wear and may even cause the tire to break during operation if t…

I bought this car in January 2019, and even though it had 210 miles, they sold it to me as new. I think they did something illegal because I have the purchase contract and they didn't put that information there. They put 10 miles and I didn't notice at the time. Also, I have the window sticker and it says the car comes standard with a remote key for entry, and the dealer removed it to make it without one. I'm ashamed I didn't report this sooner. It must be a form of consumer theft, something they only do to protect themselves.

My toyota tundra is having issues with the fuel pump. It is saying I am using e85 fuel when that is not the case. As a result I am having issues with cold start. There are recalls however I am being told that my truck is listed among them despite having the same issue.

They said the previous year Tundra was recalled for this issue, but ours was not. I just found out that some of the 2019 models had been recalled for this issue. They said my VIN was not recalled. That does not make sense. It was the same problem, same year, just at a different plant. Now we are having other fuel issues and the dealer says it all stems from the replacement of the pump, which we …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
