This has not been verified yet by a professional but I have an appointment in a few days from now (on August 5, 2025) with a local Triumph dealer to inspect and correct the issue. LAST AUGUST (2008) AND AGAIN THIS JULY (2009), THE SAME SPOKE HAS BROKEN ON MY 2006 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE. THE FIRST TIME, THE SPOKE PUNCTURED THE TUBE CAUSING THE TIRE TO GO FLAT WHILE RIDING. LUCKILY I WAS IN A PARKING LOT WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE BIKE HAD APPROXIMATELY 9000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME. THE SECOND SPOKE FAILURE HAPPENED WITHOUT CAUSING THE TIRE TO GO FLAT. THIS HAPPENED SOMETIME ON A COUPLE HUNDRED MILE TRIP. BEFORE LEAVING I HAD CHECKED THE AIR IN THE TIRE AND CLEANED THE BIKE INCLUDING THE REAR WHEEL AND DID NOT NOTICE A BROK…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
