2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

21V345000 · Equipment:Appliance:Oven/Stove/Cooktop

Reported: 2021-05-12 (May 12, 2021)

Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling certain 2020 25RB, 26RB, 28RB, 30RB Flying Cloud, 25RB, 28RB, 30RB Flying Cloud, and 2021 25RB, 28RB, 30RB Flying Cloud, and International travel trailers. The stove top range was incorrectly installed in a non-sealed cabinet.

Consequence: A draft can cause the flame to enter the non-sealed cabinet, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will install panels/baffling in the cabinet to isolate negative airflow and prevent flame inversion, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 7, 2021. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111 ext. 7401 or 7411.

21V671000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer:Lpg Systems

Reported: 2021-08-27 (August 27, 2021)

Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling certain 2021 Flying Cloud, Bambi, Caravel, Classic, Globetrotter, and International recreational vehicles, equipped with Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulators. The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.

Consequence: Increased propane pressure can enlarge the flames in gas appliances, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the regulator, as necessary, and test the propane system for leaks, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 8, 2021. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111 ext. 7401 or 7411.

ON THE AFTERNOON OF 25 MARCH 2015, I WAS DRIVING ALONE AND WEST ON INTERSTATE 205 IN THE VICINITY OF WEST LYNN IN MY 2014 DODGE RAM 3500 PICKUP TRUCK WHEN THE FRESH WATER TANK OF THE 2014 AIRSTREAM TRAVEL TRAILER I WAS TOWING FELL ONTO THE PAVEMENT. THE TANK WAS FILLED WITH WATER AND I DRAGGED IT ABOUT 150 YARDS, LEAKING, UNTIL I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. WITHIN AN HOUR, AFTER PHONING THE SERVICE MANAGER AT NORTHWEST AIRSTREAM IN GLADSTONE, TWO TECHNICIANS ARRIVED ON THE SCENE. THE SENIOR MAN REMARKED THAT HE HAD NEVER HEAR…

The trailer door latch fell off and trapped us inside for about an hour. There was no one around to help us at our campsite and no telephone cell service. We had no tools other than a butter knife to try and jamb the latch lock. We did finally manage to get of the trailer on our own by using brut force. This is a extremely dangerous problem that AirStream could easily fix. Yes, there is an escape window but breaking a window and screen is a last ditch effort and requires some agility on the occupants part to jump out of. Thinking of all the wi…

EZ-HITCH HAS AN ACTIVE RECALL NOTICE AND WAS NOT FIXED BY AIRSTREAM OF VIRGINIA DEALERSHIP PRIOR TO SELLING THIS UNIT TO ME ON 5/29/20. RECALL NOTICE WAS PUBLISHED 12/2019. DUE TO IMPROPER WELDING, THE DEMCO BALL COUPLER INSTALLED ON THE TRAVEL TRAILERS MAY NOT PROVIDE ENOUGH CLAMPING FORCE ON THE TOW BALL, POTENTIALLY CAUSING THE COUPLER TO SEPARATE FROM THE TOW BALL. IF THE COUPLER SEPARATES FROM THE TOW BALL, THE TRAILER CAN DETACH FROM THE TOW VEHICLE, POSING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

UNKNOWN Unit is 2023 Airstream RV International 23 ft Travel Trailer. My concern is that the manufacturer does not provide proper tire inflation guidance. They only state what amounts to be the maximum tire pressure from the tire mfr. Not a recommended pressure which should be much lower. Goodyear tire info (supplied for my unit) states 80 psi max. Goodyear chart states approx 30 psi per tire for my unit. Tires are Goodyear Endurance ST 225/75 R15. Airstream sticker states 80 psi which is far too high and incorrect for safe operation. Dealers a…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
