I OWN A 2004 ALFA MOTORHOME. FOR THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS I'VE DEALT WITH DEFECTIVE SIDE WINDOWS. THE SEALS BREAK AND FOG THE WINDOWS. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SEE TRAFFIC CLEARLY AT NIGHT. I ALMOST HAD SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. THE WINDOW MANUFACTURER SAYS THEY WILL NOT REPLACE THEM. IF YOU CHECK THIS DANGEROUS SITUATION IS HAPPENING ON HUNDREDS OF ALFA MOTORHOMES AND WILL RESULT IN SOME DEATHS. WE OWN A 2002 MOTOR HOME ON A FREIGHTLINER CHASIS. ALL OF THE FREIGHTLINER CHASIS BUILT IN 2001 WERE MANUFACTURED WITH A CRANKCASE BREATHER PIPE THAT WAS TO SHORT AND ALLOWED OIL FUMES TO COLLECT ON THE RADIATOR WHICH ALLOWS DIRT TO ACCUMULATE AND PLUG UP THE RADIATOR CAUSING AN OVERHEATING PROBLEM. THEY ISSUED A TECHNICAL BULLETIN TO THEIR SERVICE FACILITIES IN SEPT. OF 2001, BULLETIN #01-7, INSTRUCTING THEM TO EXTEND THE BREATHER PIPE. THEY DID NOT NOTIFY OWNERS OF THEIR VEHICLES AT THAT TIME, WHICH COULD HAVE PREVENTED A LATER PROBLEM TO …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
