I have owned this vehicle for under 6 months. The brakes stopped working and have had to have car towed into shop now twice due to the car not being able to be started due to error codes. When the brake issues occured you would press them and it would barely stop and create a very unsafe situation.

Purchased this 2024 BMW X7M60I in March 23, since day 1 of ownership and with 100 miles on the dash the car has had massive breaking, electrical, and engine issues. Almost every safty light on the dash comes on or is always on. Car was taken to Centry West BMW over many times and many months/years. Previous to this new recall dated Feb 24 they replaced the IBC and DSC and the whole brake booster and brake system. This was completed on Oct 5th of 23. I was told that this would fix all the problems with the car. Since then the car is still having…

A warning message appeared the following day after purchasing the car. The car stopped functioning while driving on the highway 70+ mph. The car started to shake violently and a-lot of alarms went off. I barely managed to pull over on the side of the interstate. I waited for 10 minutes before I could get the car to start again. I only had the car for 3 days. This problem persisted so I exchanged it for a different car. The X7 would turn off on its own and it kept doing the same thing putting me and my children in perilous situations. This …

On May 28, 2025, my 2023 BMW X7 underwent BMW recall B340224. Repair Order 669956 specifically states: “0077067 REPLACING INTEGRATED BRAKING SYSTEM.” After this recall repair and replacement of the Integrated Braking System, the vehicle began experiencing abnormal and potentially dangerous braking behavior that did not exist before the recall repair. The brake pedal can initially feel unusually soft or have excessive travel, followed by sudden and aggressive braking. In slow traffic and stop-and-go driving, the brakes can also feel as if they …

I am requesting that BMW North America open a formal Customer Relations case regarding a front differential failure on my 2023 BMW X7 M60i. At approximately 60,000 miles, I began experiencing a whining/howling noise that increased with vehicle speed, along with a metallic grinding noise from the front drivetrain area. The vehicle was subsequently diagnosed, and during the diagnostic process the front differential fluid was drained and inspected. A significant amount of metal shavings and metallic debris was found in the differential oil, indica…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

While coming to red lights or exiting the freeway I notice the brakes not braking while I press on the pedal. I have to push the pedal with extreme force to get it to stop. I was luckily able to stop it in time. My x7 braking systems reaction timing is not consistent, I feel like I am putting my family at risk if my wife is driving, or if someone else is driving and they cant hit the brakes with the extra force that the car requires sometimes.
