If the option is chosen, software can select the posted speed with a driver programmed offset. As an exa…

It was 68* out, there were no other cars around within a half mile, so I don’t know why that happened, but I heard it’s been happening this year. Add me to the list.

While driving northbound on [XXX] near West Greenwich, RI with my wife and two young children, the front sunroof glass of our 2024 BMW X7 spontaneously exploded at highway speed. There were no overhead structures or nearby vehicles that could have caused an impact. Conditions were slightly rainy. Approximately one week before this event, the vehicle displayed a warning that the sunroof was “not initialized.” I followed the reset procedure, and the message cleared. It’s unclear if that alert was related, but the sunroof’s failure seems more tha…

Due to living in the hot state of Florida and it’s been an ongoing concern with my family as I have six kids. All you have to do is one search on the Internet to know that I am not alone in this issue. I finally took my vehicle to another dealership that duplicated by complaint on day one. I was told this car has rear cross traffic warning when I ordered it from our local BMW dealer. After several "close calls" in parking lots, I took it into the dealer because it doesn't work like any of our other vehicles (Mercedes). I was told by the dealer that you have to be actively backing up and the car has to be immediately behind you in a very close proximity to the car before it will even alert you. There doesn't seem any active braking either. When you do a search on this issue with BMW's, it is a very common complaint of BMW owners. …

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

This BMW X7 car has had a recall, with no resolution on it since Feb of 2024. I purchased my car in July 2024 and the dealer never once mentioned this to me. This is a serious issue and I do not think this was good business. It's also terrifying to think the brakes on such a heavy and fast vehicle can lock up. This is unacceptable. BMW replaced the brake system twice to fix the brake failure issues we had on our 2024 BMW X7. When we brought our vehicle in for the 1st brake system replacement in June 2024 at 12,000 miles, the dealership inspected tire tread depth and all tires are in green. When we brought our vehicle in for the 2nd brake system replacement in September 2024 at 15,000 miles, both rear tires tread depth became red, indicating that the rear tires need to be replaced immediately. The rear tires had excessive wear in 3 month or 3,000 miles. We did not let an…

I’ve had multiple issues starting with a left tail light/left brake malfunction. Took my vehicle into Sewell Grapevine and they replaced the left taillight and module. After picking up my vehicle, I began having issues with my dash within a couple days of the repair mentioned above. The assisted parking began turning on by itself when the vehicle came to a complete stop. This happened multiple times while driving. I have multiple videos. I uploaded a screen shot. The dash also turned black. Returned my vehicle to Sewell, they said they rec…

Forward Collision Avoidance: Warnings

Collision warning failed. Automatic emergency braking failed. Unknown if brakes were delayed or had issue stopping. I rear ended the car the in front of me, going from a stop while attempting to make a right hand turn. There were no system warnings or emergency braking applied although the car is equipped with those and many more safety features. During the accident the air bags were not deployed. So the impact was not severe but caused a combined $10,000 plus in cosmetic damage to both vehicles.

Multiple times when my 2024 X7 has started or I have been driving a warning message pops up that states that Forward Collision Mitigation or other safety systems are "reduced". BMW has stated there is nothing to fix on the car.

Purchased this 2024 BMW X7M60I in March 23, since day 1 of ownership and with 100 miles on the dash the car has had massive breaking, electrical, and engine issues. Almost every safty light on the dash comes on or is always on. Car was taken to Centry West BMW over many times and many months/years. Previous to this new recall dated Feb 24 they replaced the IBC and DSC and the whole brake booster and brake system. This was completed on Oct 5th of 23. I was told that this would fix all the problems with the car. Since then the car is still having…

We purchased our 2024 BMW X7 in August 2023. We have experienced brake failure twice so far. The first time happened in June 2024. The brake failed in front of the red traffic light. We were lucky that there was no car crossing the road. Otherwise, we would have ended up with an accident. BMW replaced the brake system. But, the post online said that the proposed brake repair does not work. So, I reached out to BMW to let them know to buy back my vehicle as it says online that the proposed brake repair doesn't work, and I can't put my family …

I brought my vehicle to my dealer in March to have my brake system repaired as there was a known recall on this vehicle and was told there is no remedy available but it was safe to drive. The power brake booster in my 2024 BMW X7 failed on October 17, 2024 while I was driving downhill with a child in the car around a blind turn. I was not able to stop for several hundred feet and would have potentially killed a pedestrian, myself or my child who was in the car with me if this happened on a road where there was more traffic. I relayed this to…

Vehicle would not start after repeated attempts. Several warning alerts , brake malfunction, parking brake malfunction, chassis malfunction, reduced driver assistance warning, drive vehicle to nearest service center. Vehicle started, parking brake would not initially release, then it did and vehicle rolled. Brakes needed to be pressed to the floor to stop the vehicle. Warning alert to secure vehicle. Overall a very unsafe experience, despite the initial warning alerts telling me that I could drive the vehicle to the nearest service center. …
