Recall history
2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
00V056000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Foundation Components:Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings
Reported: 2000-02-28 (February 28, 2000)
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIMOUSINE AND HEARSE MODEL VEHICLES. THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKE HOSE CAN CONTACT THE WHEEL RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE BRAKE HOSE.
Consequence: IF THE HOSE BECOMES DAMAGED, THERE CAN BE A LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID AND PRESSURE IN HALF OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM. THE BRAKE PEDAL WILL BE LOWER THAN NORMAL AND STOPPING DISTANCES WILL BE LONGER, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE RIGHT FRONT BRAKE HOSE ASSEMBLY. THE LEFT FRONT BRAKE HOSE ASSEMBLY WILL ALSO BE REPLACED TO PREVENT THE POSSIBILITY OF INCORRECT POSITION OF THE HOSE DURING ANY FUTURE SERVICE.
NHTSA campaign record ↗00V431000 · Equipment:Other:Labels
Reported: 2000-12-19 (December 19, 2000)
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: CERTAIN LIMOUSINE, ARMORED AND HEARSE MODEL VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 110, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS." THESE VEHICLES HAVE AN INCORRECT TIRE PRESSURE LABEL.
Consequence: INCORRECT TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE CAN DAMAGE TIRES, AFFECT VEHICLE HANDLING, AND INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: OWNERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH CORRECT LABELS.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2000: 2 complaints · 2001: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2000 | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| 2001 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2000 | 1 | 1 | 0 |
| 2001 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
