Recall history

3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

12V312000 · Visibility:Windshield Wiper/Washer:Linkages

Reported: 2012-07-03 (July 3, 2012)

ENTEGRA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2013 ANTHEM AND ASPIRE AND MODEL YEAR 2012-2013 CORNERSTONE MOTOR HOMES MANUFACTURED FROM APRIL 19, 2011, THROUGH JUNE 22, 2012. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM CAN DETACH FROM THE VEHICLE.

Consequence: IF THIS OCCURS, THE DRIVER'S VISIBILITY CAN BE REDUCED, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy: ENTEGRA WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SHAFT ATTACHING THE ARM TO THE WIPER LINKAGE, FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 26, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT ENTEGRA AT 1-800-945-4787.

NHTSA campaign record ↗
13V028000 · Visibility:Windshield Wiper/Washer

Reported: 2013-01-30 (January 30, 2013)

Entegra Coach is recalling certain model year 2011-2013 Aspire and Anthem Class A motorhomes; and 2012-2013 Cornerstone Class A motorhomes, manufactured March 14,2011, through September 25, 2012. A wiper link was installed which is shorter than required for proper function of the wiper system.

Consequence: The wipers may not operate as designed and the driver's visibility can be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Entegra Coach will notify owners and dealers will replace the wiper link, at no charge. The recall began on February 19, 2013. Owners may contact Entegra Coach at 1-800-945-4787.

18V181000 · Steering:Hydraulic Power Assist:Hose, Piping, And Connections

Reported: 2018-03-19 (March 19, 2018)

Entegra Coach (Entegra) is recalling certain 2011-2012 and 2015-2016 Aspire built on Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation (FCCC) chassis. The power steering hose on the affected vehicles may be routed incorrectly, and, as a result, the hose may rub against the power stud on the starter motor, possibly causing electrical arcing and a power steering fluid leak.

Consequence: Electrical arcing in the presence of leaking power steering fluid can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Entegra will notify owners, and Freightliner dealers will reroute the power steering hose to provide proper clearance, free of charge. The recall began on May 1, 2018. Owners may contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-517-9137.

DEF tank head failure. 3 codes on dash, engine light and check engine light. NO warning of when a derate would start, or when an engine shutdown may occur. New part supplied by manufacturer had crystilized DEF on it when recieved at service facility. Suspect supplier may be refurbushing older units, and trying to pass them off as new next generation. Unless and until the manufacturers of these DEF systems can come up with a system that works for 100,000 miles and up, the EPA needs to start to relax the rules on the diesel engine emissions.

The Trimark ignition component failed and was subject of a 2020 recall that was not completed by the dealer who sold me this RV. The failed Trimark was returned to Spartan Chassis. It is a 2020 recall item. Component inspected and replaced by RV Repair Service, new Trimark installed and worked. There were no warnings, when it failed there was no way to start the RV and it was stuck for a week where I last shut the engine off.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
