1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
11V039000 · Electrical System:Wiring
Reported: 2011-01-31 (January 31, 2011)
FAIRPLAY IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 AND 2011 EVE LSV ELECTRIC LOW SPEED VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM JULY 31, 2009, THROUGH DECEMBER 27, 2010. A FUSE SPECIFIED TO BE IN THE 12V ACCESSORY CIRCUIT WAS NOT BUILT INTO THE WIRING HARNESS. THE FUSE VALUE ON THE INPUT TO THE VOLTAGE REDUCER WAS TOO LARGE TO PREVENT POSSIBLE DAMAGE. THERE WAS NO FUSE INSERTED IN THE 12 VOLT CIRCUIT.
Consequence: WITHOUT THIS FUSE FOR PROTECTION, A SHORT IN ANY PORTION OF THE 12V WIRING CAN MELT WIRE INSULATION AND POSE THE RISK OF A FIRE.
Remedy: FAIRPLAY WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE VEHICLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 22, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FAIRPLAY AT 1-866-557-0342.

| Steering | 1100.0%ODI 10465682 · 250 miI WAS DRIVING HOME FROM A NEARBY NEIGHBORS HOUSE WHEN SUDDENLY THE STEERING STOPPED WORKING. I WAS ABLE TO STOP SAFELY WHILE ON A GENTLE CURVE/DOWN SLOPE. AFTER STOPPING, I LOOK UNDERNEATH AT THE STEERING AND FOUND THAT THE STEERING KNUCKLE? WAS MISSING AND I THOUGHT MAY HAVE BROKEN OFF. A FEW FEET BEHIND THE VEHICLE, I FOUND THE STEERING KNUCKLE AND BOOT PROTECTOR. MY INSPECTION LOOK LIKE THE STEERING KNUCKLE IS INTACT AND JUST CAME LOOSE, FALLING OFF, CAUSING THE STEERING TO FAIL. I DREAD WHAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED IF I WERE GOING FASTER DOWNHILL… | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |
Darker cells indicate a larger share of submitted complaints. Components overlap. This measures complaint composition, not failure probability.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2010: 1 complaints · 2011: 0 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2010 | 0 | 0 | 1 |

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2010 | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| 2011 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
