Owner report 11549530 · 2023-10-12 (October 12, 2023)

Issue has been confirmed and acknowledged by Fisker. There is an issue with bumps on the road while braking and is a safety issue and should probably have a stop order until it's fixed. They are replacing sewer lines in my area so the roads are as bad as it gets. Our neighborhood is pretty hilly and I was coming down hill slowing from 35 to 15 to make a right onto a narrower side street. When I was mid turn I hit a series of bumps from all the construction and the car suddenly accelerated. I pushed the brakes as far as I could but was unable t…

My fisker ocean brakes are extremely dangerous. It slides slipping when you apply the brake. You might be lucky if you go uphill or down hill to not get into an accident. I have tried for almost 6 week calling them to fix my issue. I have send an email to cfo and several others no luck. There should be a recall on these vehicles ASAP it’s a serious safety concern.

Owner report 11555127 · 2023-11-14 (November 14, 2023)

I received my vehicle on 10/14. At that time, I noticed a warning light on the dashboard that I identified in the owner’s manual as “airbag fault.” I emailed Fisker support about this problem on 10/30. After receiving no response from Fisker, I finally called them today and was told that my issue had been “escalated” on 10/30 and that the representative would contact another department after I hung up to have them follow up with me within a week.

I would like these issues to be addressed ASAP within 30 days. I have experienced this issue 4 or 5 separate times. The issue seems to occur while driving over rough, uneven/bumpy roads. While driving over a bumpy road either with foot off of both pedals and regenerative braking engaged OR with foot on the brake pedal and actively/physically braking, suddenly and without warning the brake disengages and the car lurches forward with such force as to snap my head back into the headrest. The vehicle drives forward when you put it in reverse. I almost hit the car parked in front of me. The manufacturer has no interest in fixing the problem. this is on top of multiple issues with this car: All the ADAS features are not working and sending false warnings, slamming the breaks when identifying a shadow in front of the vehicle etc.. This car should have not been allowed on the road and it is only a question of time before someone is going to get hurt.

We were driving down a parkway and a yellow message flashed "battery malfunction" and the high-voltage battery fault came on and the car lost power while on a public road. I have 2.1. software and the car was bricked (inoperable) for 2 month until a tech from Ocean Reapiar Services (ORS) unbricked the car. The technician came back with a engineer 2 more times in 10 days to try to remedy the problem and the conclusion was that if I receive any over the air updates (OTA) the car will brick again and not be functional. September 25th 2024 1600 hrs. Returning home from the grocery store, coming to a complete stop in heavy traffic at a traffic light the vehicle shifted into park by itself and turned off by itself, effectively disabling itself and leaving me stranded at the intersection. The vehicle would not restart causing a traffic jam. After a couple more attempts to restart the vehicle it finally enabled itself and I continued driving home without further incident. No warnings visual of audio were given during the event.

The Fisker Ocean has been involved with several recalls. The company is now in chapter 11. The NHTSA has required Fisker to repair several of these issues. Fisker has supplied some parts but labor was not included. In order to correct the issues with the recall I had to pay out of my pocket. In addition, after a little over 1 year I had to replace a faulty battery. The total cost for all these repairs was $1,258.29. I need help from the NHTSA to recover these costs. A copy of the receipt and the repairs done are attached.

As I was driving home from the grocery store, the car started to slow down and violently shook to a stop before shutting off. Thankfully, I could restart the car enough times, and the same experience happened every time so that I could make it home safely with my hazard flashers on. Once at home, the car didn't allow me to charge it from my garage and it has been a brick even after replacing the water pump, which I thought could have been the issue, but it was not.

I was scheduled to receive the 2.2 software update November 12 and noticed a low voltage battery warning some time earlier in the day, November 11 - this is not the main battery, as it was charged around 70%. The fob didn’t work and neither did the app on my phone. My mother-in-law often rides with me and she is elderly. She would have had much difficulty in the heat waiting for the car to unlock (luckily not with me today). Any number of emergencies require immediate access to the car - it should…I don’t know…unlock immediately when the unlock button is pressed. - Sometimes…

Since I got the car in January, 2024 I have had system failure messages pop up randomly. I have tried to get Fisker to address this issue, but I have had ZERO response from them. I’ve opened online requests for service and they have gone unanswered.
