24V466000 · Structure:Body:Door:Handle:Exterior
Reported: 2024-06-20 (June 20, 2024)
Fisker Group Inc (Fisker) is recalling all 2023-2024 Ocean vehicles. The exterior door handles can stick and fail to open.
Consequence: A door that fails to open can prevent occupants from exiting in an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Fisker will inspect and replace the door handles as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 19, 2024. Owners may contact Fisker customer service at 1-844-347-5371. Fisker's number for this recall is TSB55062401.

Reported: 2024-07-02 (July 2, 2024)
Fisker Group Inc (Fisker) is recalling all 2023-2024 Ocean vehicles. A communication failure with the cabin electric water pump can cause the high voltage battery management system (BMS) to enter limp mode, causing a loss of drive power.
Consequence: A sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Fisker will replace the pumps, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 19, 2024. Owners may contact Fisker customer service at 1-844-347-5371. Fisker's number for this recall is TSB30032401.

Reported: 2024-08-20 (August 20, 2024)
Fisker Group Inc (Fisker) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ocean vehicles. The brake module software may cause an unexpected reduction in regenerative braking, decreasing the braking performance.
Consequence: Decreased braking performance can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Fisker will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 26, 2024. Owners may contact Fisker customer service at 1-844-347-5371. Fisker's number for this recall is TSB10062408.
NHTSA campaign record ↗24V865000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic; Autohold Brake System/Brake Hold:Software
Reported: 2024-11-15 (November 15, 2024)
Fisker Group Inc (Fisker) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Ocean vehicles. The transmission may not shift into the selected gear, allowing the vehicle to roll away while in Drive or Reverse.
Consequence: A vehicle roll away increases the risk of a crash or injury.
Remedy: Fisker released an over-the-air (OTA) software update on March 11, 2024, free of charge. Owners may contact Fisker customer service at 1-844-347-5371.

| Electrical System | 37642.5%ODI 11555894I have had Fisker for over a month now and it is not a drivable vehicle at the moment as it poses serious safety issues with numerous parts or functionality showing errors and suddenly not available. I would like these issues to be addressed ASAP within 30 days. There is no service center or service or place available where I can take this vehicle to showcase the issues and where the appropriate fixes can be done, which to my mind are non-available. There are many owners on Facebook and other blogs complaining about these issues. Yesterday, I w… | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |
| Service Brakes | 30234.2%ODI 11549530Issue has been confirmed and acknowledged by Fisker. There is an issue with bumps on the road while braking and is a safety issue and should probably have a stop order until it's fixed. They are replacing sewer lines in my area so the roads are as bad as it gets. Our neighborhood is pretty hilly and I was coming down hill slowing from 35 to 15 to make a right onto a narrower side street. When I was mid turn I hit a series of bumps from all the construction and the car suddenly accelerated. I pushed the brakes as far as I could but was unable t… | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |
| Unknown Or Other | 28332.0%ODI 11560754The vehicle drives forward when you put it in reverse. I almost hit the car parked in front of me. The manufacturer has no interest in fixing the problem. this is on top of multiple issues with this car: All the ADAS features are not working and sending false warnings, slamming the breaks when identifying a shadow in front of the vehicle etc.. This car should have not been allowed on the road and it is only a question of time before someone is going to get hurt. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |
| Forward Collision Avoidance: Automatic Emergency Braking | 12113.7%ODI 11556567I'm driving on hill/uneven pavement, either foot off of the accelerator (regen engaged and on high) or foot on the brake pedal and actively pushing the brake. The brake disengages and the car lurches forward. Feels the the car is being push forward for a split second. Making it a dangerous situation. | Forward Collision Avoidance: Warnings | 9110.3%ODI 11557276While driving southbound on I-95 from Washington, DC to toward Richmond, on a stretch of the highway with three lanes and a constant flow of traffic across all lanes, the driver ahead of me swerved to avoid two cars ahead of her who had stopped for unknown reasons. I saw her tail lights light up and then almost immediately watched her swerve only to see the practically parked cars in my lane (left-most). At this point my following distance was greatly reduced. I immediately stepped on the brake which vibrated and felt more plastic rather than e… | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |
| Power Train | 9110.3%ODI 11560184I have noticed a number of times that when I push the stalk on the Fisker, which is supposed to move it from Drive to Park, that it has gone from Drive to Neutral. I have caught this happening probably 6 or so times in the 150 drives I have taken in the last two months. The solution has normally been that I take my foot off the brake and notice the car rolling backwards before getting out, put my foot back on the brake and then put it in park. On 12-12, I was in a bit of a rush, undid my seatbelt, grabbed my bag off the seat and then opened the… | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |

| Engine | 566.3%ODI 11573863We were driving down a parkway and a yellow message flashed "battery malfunction" and the high-voltage battery fault came on and the car lost power while on a public road. I could break & steer but that was all. I was on a public road and had to coast down the hill (luckily was able to maintain speed) and there happened to be a parking lot I could coast into when we got to the bottom. I called road side assistance and gave them all the information, had my partner pick me and the kids up, and the car was later towed to my house. Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2023: 877 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | 883 | 0 | 1 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
