Recall history
4 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
07V059000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Antilock/Traction Control/Electronic Limited Slip
Reported: 2007-02-16 (February 16, 2007)
ON CERTAIN AMERICAN EAGLE AND AMERICAN TRADITION CLASS A MOTOR HOMES, THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PERMANENTLY MOUNTED. THE MODULE COULD DETACH FROM THE VEHICLE.
Consequence: THE ANTI-LOCK FEATURE FOR THE BRAKE SYSTEM COULD BE LOST.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND PERMANENTLY MOUNT THE ABS MODULE TO THE INSIDE OF THE CHASSIS RAIL. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 30, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FLEETWOOD AT 1-800-509-3418.
NHTSA campaign record ↗07V101000 · Electrical System:12v/24v/48v Battery
Reported: 2007-03-14 (March 14, 2007)
ON CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES, THE SERVICE COMPARTMENT THAT CONTAINS THE INVERTER AND THE HOUSE BATTERIES IS INSUFFICIENTLY SEALED FROM SPARK PRODUCING DEVICES. IN THE EVENT OUT GASSING OCCURS FROM THE BATTERIES AND THE GASES ARE EXPOSED TO A SPARK OF MEASURABLE SIZE AND DURATION, IGNITION OF THE GASSES MAY OCCUR.
Consequence: THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO IGNITE COMBUSTIBLE OBJECTS WITHIN THE COMPARTMENT.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND INSTALL A COMPARTMENT SPACER AND BULB SEAL TO THE SERVICE COMPARTMENT THAT CONTAINS THE HOUSE BATTERIES FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 30, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FLEETWOOD AT 800-509-3418.
NHTSA campaign record ↗07V363000 · Electrical System:Wiring:Fuses And Circuit Breakers
Reported: 2007-08-15 (August 15, 2007)
ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOME CHASSIS, THERE MAY BE A LOOSE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE BUS BAR AND A GRID PAD DUE TO THE PINS BEING SLIGHTLY SMALLER DIAMETERS AFTER ASSEMBLY. ELECTRICAL POWER MAY BE LOST TO COMPONENTS OF THE MAJOR CHASSIS OPERATING SYSTEMS (ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, STARTING, COOLING) CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHUT DOWN AND/OR NOT BE CAPABLE OF POWERING UP.
Consequence: EACH VEHICLE COULD POTENTIALLY EXPERIENCE A UNIQUE CIRCUMSTANCE WHERE ONE OR A COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS COULD OCCUR: LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, STARTING AND ENGINE COOLING SYSTEMS, OPERATION OF THE RIGHT CHASSIS STOP/TURN SIGNAL AND RIGHT TRAILER STOP/TURN SIGNAL, THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, AUXILIARY BRAKE SYSTEM, THE HEATER ELEMENTS IN THE AIR DRYER, AND THE HEATER ELEMENT IN THE WATER-IN-FUEL SEPARATOR.
Remedy: THE DVEC BUSSMANN BOX WILL BE REPLACED. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 16, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT SPARTAN AT 1-517-543-6400.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
