Recall history

3 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

90V020000 · Unknown Or Other

Reported: 1990-01-07 (January 7, 1990)

THE TELEVISION MOUNTED IN THE FRONT OVERHEAD CABINET MAY BE INSECURELY MOUNTED, AND COULD VIBRATE LOOSE AND FALL.

Consequence: FALLING TV COULD STRIKE THE DRIVER OR FRONT SEAT PASSENGER, OR COULD DISTRACT THE DRIVER'S ATTENTION, CREATING THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT.

Remedy: ADD TWO RETAINING BRACKETS TO PREVENT THE TV FROM MOVING OUT OF ITS CABINET.

NHTSA campaign record ↗
90V060000 · Seat Belts:Front:Anchorage

Reported: 1990-03-26 (March 26, 1990)

METAL FORMED ENDS OF SEAT BELT ANCHORAGE BAR MAY BE CRACKED.

Consequence: SEAT BELT ANCHORAGES WOULD NOT SUSTAIN SEAT BELT LOADS INA CRASH, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY TO THE OCCUPANT.

Remedy: REPLACE TOP PLATE WELDMENT, INCLUDING SEAT BELT ANCHORAGE BAR, ON SEAT PEDESTALS.

NHTSA campaign record ↗
92V052000 · Steering: Steering Wheel/Handle Bar

Reported: 1992-04-14 (April 14, 1992)

THE STEERING COLUMN SHAFT NUT RETAINING CLIP MAY BE MISSING. UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THE LACK OF A RETAINING CLIP WILL ALLOW THE NUT TO WORK LOOSE AND THE STEERING WHEEL TO SEPARATE FROM THE STEERING COLUMN.

Consequence: STEERING WHEEL SEPARATION FROM THE STEERING COLUMN CANRESULT IN COMPLETE LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.

Remedy: INSPECT STEERING ASSEMBLY FOR A STEERING WHEEL NUT RETAINING CLIP. IF CLIP IS MISSING, INSTALL A STEERING WHEEL NUT RETAINING CLIP, OR HAVE A DEALER INSPECT AND INSTALL A CLIP. FLEETWOOD ADVISES OWNERS NOT TO OPERATE THE MOTORHOMES UNTIL A STEERING WHEEL NUT INSPECTION AND CLIP INSTALLATION IS COMPLETED.

On [XXX], after arriving at our campground in Tok, Alaska, the main entry-door latch/handle on our 2023 Fleetwood Bounder motorhome failed completely. The door would no longer open. There were four people inside the motorhome, and none of us could open the main entry door. We were effectively trapped inside the RV through the primary entrance. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
