Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

15V858000 · Service Brakes, Air:Supply:Hoses, Lines/Piping, And Fittings

Reported: 2015-12-22 (December 22, 2015)

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2016 Ford F-650 and F-750 trucks manufactured April 15, 2015, to December 15, 2015, and equipped with rear air suspension. In the affected vehicles, the rear brake hoses may contact and chafe on the rear axle housing while driving.

Consequence: A chafed rear brake line may result in an air leak, reducing the rear braking ability and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will install revised rear brake air chambers and replace any damaged rear air brake lines, free of charge. The recall began on February 9, 2016. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15S38.

Consequence: If the parking brake cable connector clip fails, the vehicle may unexpectedly roll, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the parking brake cable connector clip, free of charge. The recall began on May 19, 2016. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 16S15.

Axle Shaft Gaskets have been replaced multiple times due to Leaking oil on the Drive Axle. This occurs about every 20,000 miles. Both of our other F-750 Trucks (1 other is a 2017 & the other one is a 2018) have the same issue. Appears that the gasket is pushed out.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
