24V351000 · Equipment:Recreational Vehicle/Trailer:Lpg Systems:Lines And Fittings

Reported: 2024-05-17 (May 17, 2024)

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Solera, 2023-2025 Forester, and Sunseeker motorhomes. The Liquid Propane (LP) line may not be properly secured, which can cause the line to become damaged and leak.

Consequence: A propane gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will install a p-clamp to secure the LP line, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 28, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-206-7600. Forest River's number for this recall is 34-1780.

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Sunseeker, Solera, Forester, Freelander, Leprechaun, and East to West Entrada motorhomes. The fuel line extension connectors may have inconsistent crimps, allowing the fuel line to detach.

Consequence: A detached fuel line can leak, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel lines as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning September 26, 2025. Entrada owners may contact customer service at 1-574-264-6664. Forester, Solera, and Sunseeker owners may contact customer service at 1-574-206-7600. TAKATA RECALL. I HAVE CONTACTED SEVERAL MERCEDES-BENZ DEALERS REGARDING THIS RECALL. MY LAST CONTACT WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP IN OCTOBER, 2017 (DESMOINES, IA). THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DID HAVE THE AIR BAG REPAIR PARTS. THEY SAID MY VEHICLE WAS 'PENDING', HOWEVER WAS NOT APPROVED FOR INSTALLATION AT THAT TIME. SO THEY DECLINED TO REPAIR IT.

ON OUR FIRST TRIP IN JULY,2014, THE REARVIEW CAMERA QUIT WORKING NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN TRAVELING. THIS WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AS A DRIVER DUE TO THE FACT THAT YOU COULD NOT SEE BEHIND THE VEHICLE. THE BIGFOOT STABILIZER JACKS WOULD GO UP AND DOWN EVEN WITH SWITCH TURNED OFF. FINALLY ON MARCH 24 THEY CAME COMPLETELY DOWN TO THE GROUND WHILE I WAS TRAVELING ACROSS THE ARKANSAS BRIDGE AT MEMPHIS. THE JACKS DRAGGED THE GROUND AND ALMOST CAUSED A LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. FOREST RIVER CORP AND BIGFOOT JACKS CORP. WERE BOTH AWARE THAT THERE H…

Two Incidents: 1) June 4th: Going down a ~8% grade at approximately 25-30 MPH, towing an aluminum boat with working electric trailer brakes (~3000 lbs on trailer). The road was paved, dry and in good condition, no gravel. I was coasting in 2nd gear (manually selected) and vehicle was maintaining speed with no additional brake applications. I was not accelerating or decelerating. On it's own, the vehicle then downshifted into 1st gear taking the engine above redline, at the same time, the rear axle began hopping (actually skidding / chirping…

completed emission modification work at dealer (OM624 Sprinter EMC#2). picked up car on June 18,2021. Took the car on a trip from Buffalo to Boston on June 21, when appx. 200 miles into the trip the Check engine, ESR, ABS and Skid warning lights came on. Lost cruise control. Pulled over and called the dealer. Was told that it looked like a wheel speed sensor problem. This is my third incident of speed sensor problems (two front and one rear). I understand there is a recall on the rear sensors only. I suggest that recall be expanded to ALL sen…

ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION WHILE TRAVELING AT SPEEDS GREATER THAN 50 MILES AN HOUR, THE STABILIZER JACKS HAVE JUST DROPPED TO THE GROUND. THE LATEST INSTANCE WAS ON JUNE 27, 2016 ON LA 1 IN SHREVEPORT,LOUISIANA. NOT A GOOD FEELING WHEN YOU HEAR METAL AGAINST CONCRETE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. Tire pressure monitoring system displays fault at random intervals while vehicle is in motion, primarily associated with the rear axle but affecting all six tires on the vehicle. Tires are not damaged and no indication of rapid deflation or other defect is present. Problem is intermittent but typically appears after approx. 20-35 miles of driving and lasts for random interval, after which problem self-corrects. The process repeats without warning. Vehicle has been inspected by multiple factory authorized service providers, chassis manufactu…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
