My 2025 Acadia Denali's Main tablet sized screen is impossible to view in bright daylight. This screen has controls for most of the vehicle's settings. If I want to change something such as the temperature setting, I can't see the proper button. This is clearly a safety issue as taking eyes off the road for an extended period just to make a simple setting change is a recipe for disaster. My dealer claims there is no solution as they are all like that.

THE 2017 GMC ACADIA HORN TAKES AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF FORCE TO ENGAGE. THIS HAS BEEN NOTED BY SEVERAL USERS. MY SPOUSE HAD A SEMI TRUCK COME INTO HER LANE A DAY AGO AND COULD NOT GET HORN TO SOUND TO WARN OTHER DRIVER. GMC DEALERSHIP INVESTIGATED AND SAID ITS JUST THE WAY THE ASSEMBLY WORKS IN THIS MODEL. I BELIEVE THIS REPRESENTS A SAFETY ISSUE AS IT MAKES THE HORN UNUSABLE WHEN YOU NEED IT QUICKLY AND WITHOUT TAKING YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD. GM IS SAYING TO BAD.

The ACADIA 2020 while in slow motion approaching my private condominium parking spot, accelerated autonomously and then slammed into the cement wall. Airbags deployed, no warning of collision, seriously damaged both car and cement wall. No bodily injuries. I researched the possible cause coded P2138 which involves the drive by wire sensors which connect the throttle pedal and the CPU that controls the mechanical throttle gas system. That might be the cause of the autonomous acceleration like explained about the P2138 sensors issues.

I was driving on a two-lane road when unexpectedly my front moonroof spontaneously shattered sending glass down on top of me, the console area, and the passenger and rear seating areas of my 2025 GMC Acadia. It happened without warning and no external factors. It was a pleasant sunny November day. The moonroof was not open at the time. Fortunately no one else was in the vehicle with me at the time and no other cars were nearby since the two-lane is not a heavy traffic area. This put my safety at risk and could have put others at risk had others…

I accidentally ran out of gas and my car died directly underneath a railroad crossing arm. I had been stopped to allow an Amtrak train to go by and my car died when I started to move forward after it passed. Thankfully I wasn't on the tracks, but I was close to them. I immediately got out of my car and the woman behind me said she would help push me out of the way of the crossing arm. I went to put my car in neutral, something I do weekly when I go through the car wash, but my dash kept saying "conditions not correct for shift". I tried repeate…

The vehicle experiences a transmission/drivetrain defect involving delayed gear engagement, hesitation, and apparent slipping. When accelerating from a complete stop (especially onto an incline) the engine RPM increases but the vehicle fails to accelerate as expected. The vehicle jerks and shakes violently and is unable to gain speed. This issue is intermittent but highly repeatable and occurs almost every time when there is a slope immediately after a stop sign. This is ongoing from the purchase of the car. 1) Infotainment computer screen daytime illumination is so dark as to be a major safety issue as it causes too much time looking away from the road to operate the system. If you wear sunglasses you cannot see the screen at all. The dealer says nothing can be done to improve the problem. 2) Right rear tail light stopped working after 500 miles. Replacement requires dropping the rear bumper and quarter panel. The dealer actually damaged the body of the car while replacing the light. Where are the day…

After having my 2025 GMC Acadia Elevation for 2 weeks, I turned it on and six lights on the dash lit up. ESC, ABS, Tractions Control and more. I was leaving a store at the time this happened and drove home. Also, my cruise control would no longer work. Took my Acadia to the dealership the following business day to be serviced, only to be told a week later that the master brake cylinder needed replaced. This part of course was on back order. My new part arrived two weeks later, only to discover that two additional one-time parts (seal and reserv…

Today, June 11, 2026, my wife and 9 month old baby were on their way home from running errands in town when the vehicle started to violently shake, becoming frightened my wife tried to apply pressure to the brakes. When she pushed down on the brake pedal nothing happened and the pedal hit the floor. Our brand new 2025 GMC Acadia AT4 had just suffered catastrophic brake failure. So she pulled off onto the side of the road in hopes the uneven terrain would slow her down just enough to put it into park. Luckily enough it did. If it would have been…

The driver and infotainment center is so dim during the day that it is dangerous to drive the vehicle. I have taken the vehicle in to the dealer 3 times and each time the dealer indicates that there doesn't appear to be a problem, but at no time to my knowledge have they taken the vehicle out into the sunlight, There have been 2 Software updates at the dealer and one OTA update so far with no improvement. It results in loss of acceleration, violent shaking, and inability to maintain or…
