| Electrical System | 931.0%ODI 11497846I had reported that the horn wouldn't work..especially in cold weather last winter. The horn would work by the time I arrived at dealer. Told nothing they could do as it was working. It has happened 3 times in the last 2 months, finally totally nonfunctional the past 3 days. I called, stopped at dealer to have it checked. The car was returned to me with service person telling me that the horns diaphragm is stuck. When asked if working , he said for "right now." He told me a new horn(s) were ordered. I asked him what he did: he replied, I hit th… | 1230.0%ODI 11530328Horn has failed twice. The first time it was taken to the dealership and “fixed” - now it has failed again. The second issue is that the car accelerates on its own, both at a high and low rate of speed. While traveling at approximately 60 mph on multiple occasions, when the engine transitions from the electric motor to the gas engine, it will suddenly rapidly accelerate without any additional pressure on the gas pedal. While braking at a low rate of speed, the car seems to fight the brakes and will accelerate instead, propelling the car forward… | 1730.9%ODI 11526901I was rear ended and the air bags didn't deploy. The police and body shop said they should have. The car is unmodified and dealer serviced | 350.0%ODI 11577911I received two emails from Hyundai Bluelink that "Vehicle battery level is below normal" late night 16 March 2024 shortly before midnight and several hours after I had parked my vehicle for the night. The car is less than two weeks old with less than 300 miles. After each email notice I checked my car and could not see any device or process which was drawing electrical power. By 10 am the next morning all electrical power to the car was gone and I needed a towing service to jump start my car. It appears the car battery spontaneously drained a… | 120.0%ODI 11731402While being driven on a residential street, the vehicle suddenly displayed a 'Stop Safely' warning on the dashboard. Upon an attempted restart, the vehicle suffered a total electrical blackout and complete loss of propulsion power while in the middle of a live roadway. All internal and external lights, steering assistance, and power systems failed simultaneously. The vehicle was manufactured in 2025 and has been out of service since March 16th. The contact stated that while pulling into the driveway, while slowing down, the vehicle inadvertently lunged forward. The vehicle seemed as though it was attempting to accelerate forward. Once I did not have any cars behind me, I tried once again so I could take a video and of course, it worked as it should. | Unknown Or Other | 413.8%ODI 11466500Sometimes, for no reason my car will not accelerate (no amount of pedal to the metal will help) and then when it does accelerate, it surges forward at random points and tries to overpower the brakes. This has happened multiple times and the dealer claims they have never heard of this happening. It could cause a serious accident when it happens. I have to find a place to pull off and shut down the car and restart it. This started happening around the 5k mile marker...and now I am almost at 12k. | 512.5%ODI 11453523I attempted to accelerate while on my way to work and the vehicle would not start the engine. With the pedal pressed all the way to the floor, I was barely accelerating. Had this happened when I was pulling into traffic or otherwise had to accelerate quickly to avoid an incident, it could have been extremely dangerous. The battery almost completely died before I was able to pull over, but turning off the vehicle and starting it again returned the vehicle to normal. | Engine | 827.6%ODI 11457937On multiple drives the car has "lurched" or accelerated when foot was NOT on the accelerator pedal. These were minor issues, but unnerving when pulling up to park near a structure. Today 3-23-22 I was driving and after about 1 hour of normal operation the car began to accelerate while pressing the brake, and decelerate while pushing the gas. | Service Brakes | 517.2%ODI 11499829Our problem started a few months ago. At first, we thought it was just a fluke, but this issue has happened too many times to be so. The issues are, the car does not accelerate when we depress the accelerator, we see the tachometer move, but the engine is not actually accelerating. Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
