Owner report 11693998 · 2025-10-17 (October 17, 2025)

While driving on the highway at normal operating speeds, the vehicle suddenly lost power, and the accelerator pedal became completely unresponsive, preventing me from maintaining speed or safely exiting the roadway. This created a severe safety hazard, as I was unable to maneuver or pull off to avoid fast-moving traffic. Immediately after, I attempted to shift the vehicle into “Park,” but received an on-screen message stating that the transmission was not in Park, even though the shifter was physically in the Park position. Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

21V248000 · Structure:Body

Reported: 2021-04-08 (April 8, 2021)

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017-2018 and 2020 Jaguar XE vehicles that received a replacement rear rail assembly as part of a service repair. Missing spot welds may weaken the structural strength of the rear rail assembly.

Consequence: The weakened rear rail assembly may allow the rear bumper beam to detach when the vehicle is being towed or the tow-bar assembly to detach when towing a trailer. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear rail assembly, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 7, 2021. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H349.

25V017000 · Back Over Prevention: Sensing System: Camera | Electrical System:Wiring: Rear Compartment/Trunk

Reported: 2025-01-16 (January 16, 2025)

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Jaguar XE vehicles. Due to wiring damage in the trunk, the rearview camera image may not appear on the display.

Consequence: A rearview camera that does not display an image can reduce the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair, or replace the rearview camera wiring harness, as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 2, 2026. Owners may contact Jaguar's customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H535. This recall replaces and expands previous recall number 23V-501. Vehicles already repaired under recall 23V-501 will need to have the new remedy completed.

I am the owner of a 2019 Jaguar XE with fewer than 50,000 miles on it. On July 11th, 2025, the check engine light came on, prompting me to drive straight to the Jaguar dealership for diagnostic evaluation. ENGINE START STOP BUTTON PROVIDES HAPTIC FEEDBACK WHEN PRESSED BUT DOES NOT START OR STOP THE ENGINE, UNLESS PUSHED WITH ENOUGH FORCE. THE HAPTIC FEEDBACK LEADS THE OPERATOR TO BELIEVE THEY HAVE CORRECTLY DEPRESSED THE BUTTON BUT THE ENGINE HAS NOT STOPPED/STARTED. THIS IS CONCERNING AS WHILE THE CAR IS IN "DRIVE" YOU COULD THINK YOU HAVE STOPPED THE ENGINE WHEN THE BUTTON HAS CLICKED BUT NOT STOPPED THE ENGINE.

There has been random frequent issues with some of the safety features failing or deactivating. The issues is presented as an alert popping up saying the “Blind Spot System Not Available”, then when putting the car it to reverse I also get the message “Reverse Traffic Detection Not Available”. On some occasions the issue presents as the alert for “AEB Not Available”. The issue or alert clears after turning the vehicle is turned off for a period (not sure on how long).

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
