Recall history

2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

06V081000 · Equipment:Other:Labels

Reported: 2006-03-27 (March 27, 2006)

CERTAIN TOWABLE TRAVEL TRAILERS FAIL TO CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 110, 'TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS.' THESE TRAILERS ARE MISSING THE TIRE INFORMATION PLACARD.

Consequence: THIS DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE STANDARD.

Remedy: OWNERS WILL BE SENT A PLACARD ALONG WITH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON OR BEFORE MARCH 24, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT KZRV AT 1-800-768-4016.

Reported: 2017-11-21 (November 21, 2017)

KZRV, L.P. (KZRV) is recalling various 2002-2018 recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. See a list of the affected trailer models at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V749-9547.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. For a full list of the affected fire extinguisher models visit: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17E062-5427.pdf

Consequence: In the event of a fire, if the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury.

Remedy: KZRV will notify owners, instructing them to contact Kidde for a replacement fire extinguisher, free of charge. The recall began on January 15, 2018. Owners may contact KZRV customer service at 1-800-768-4016 extension 154 or 153, or Kidde customer service toll free at 1-855-262-3540, or online at www.kidde.com and click on "Product Safety Recall" for more information.

I have a 2022 KZ Durango 321RKT. The frame has been flexing up in the front by the bedroom slide out. There is now a crack in the bedroom wall, which expands from when it’s on the truck to when it’s on the landing gear on the ground. It also is causing the outside of the RV to buckle in the same place. KZand Lippert both said that there’s nothing that they can do. There’s no frame flex in my camper and that they fixed it before my camper was built and they also said that it’s three years old. It’s out of warranty. Warranty and frame should not …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
