WHEN I BRAKE THE VEHICLE PULLS HARD TO THE RIGHT EVERY TIME. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME DUE NOT KNOWING IF THE VEHICLE WILL OVERTURN IF INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT/HARD BRAKING. IT IS ALSO A CONCERN THAT PARTS WILL EVENTUALLY WEAR QUICKER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE SUBSTANTIAL LEAN CAUSING SAFETY CONCERNS DOWN THE ROAD. Lexus issued a Warranty Enhancement Program sometime in 2022. It stated that if the check engine light would illuminate due to moisture and cold in the air injection pumps and air switching valves. The warranty would be good until 10 years from first use which is 10/23 for this vehicle. I was not experiencing the problem at the time I received the notice so I files it. A few months later I started to experience the exact issue with the check engine light which would come on and render certain systems inoperable such as cruise control, The light…

Lexus has a safety issue of the OEM pre-installed Slim profile Roof Rack on the car. There was no option to elect if one wants this or not. It's simply installed to make a quick buck from the customer. Besides that being said, this OEM pre-installed Slim profile Roof Rack is a safety hazard due to fact as you drive above 45mph-55mph, drive hears noises and causing drive to look around trying to figure out what is making that noise which can lead to swerving / cause accident. My less than a year old Lexus GX550 was sitting in the driveway and the sunroof exploded. The car was not moving and it exploded outwards into a ton of pieces. The dealership claims that it is not a warrantable part. No foreign object hit the sunroof, even then it shouldn't shatter, only crack. It is my assumption that defective glass from the factory was installed into my vehicle and caused the sunroof to shatter for no apparent reason.

The driver-side front door window developed a crack suddenly while the vehicle was in normal use. There was no known impact, and no object was seen or heard striking the glass. The crack originated near the edge of the window close to the side mirror and spread across the glass. There were no warning messages, alerts, or prior symptoms before the failure. The failure appeared spontaneous. This condition poses a safety concern because the integrity of the side window is compromised. The crack continued to spread, which could reduce occupant pr…

Driving to work, the engine became completely disabled which required emergency maneuvering to leave the roadway which had heavy traffic. Received dashboard messages stating the engine malfunctioned and needed to be taken to the dealer immediately. This was a very dangerous situation as the vehicle immediately lost all motive power when the engine stopped working. Dealer diagnosed the issue as related to the timing belt guide, where a part broke causing the engine timing to get out of sync. This ultimately damaged the valves and head in the…

I BOUGHT THE 2013 LEXUS GX460 ON 5-31-13. AFTER DRIVING IT FOR A DAY, IT SEEMED AS IF I HAD A FLAT TIRE ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BECAUSE THE HOOD SEEMED LOWER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AS I WAS DRIVING. I PULLED OVER TO CHECK AND EVERYTHING SEEMED FINE. LATER AS MY VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE I NOTICED STANDING FROM BEHIND THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS INDEED LOWER THAN THE DRIVER SIDE. HELLO, MY CAR IS TILTED TO THE RIGHT WHEN TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY. ALSO TILTED A LOT WHEN I TURN LEFT. THIS IS NOT NORMAL BECAUSE MY OTHER CARS DON'T BEHAVE LIKE THAT. I BROUGHT TO LEXUS DEALER BUT WAS INFORMED THE CAR IS NORMAL. HOWEVER, I NEED NTSB TO CHECK BECAUSE I DON'T FEEL SAFE WITH THIS CAR. NOTE: I THINK THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT BECAUSE THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE WHO COMPLAINED ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM.

My GX550 is vibrating at all speeds. I took my GX550 in for service on [XXX] at Butler Lexus in Union City, GA, because of the vibration in my GX. They did a wheel alignment and a force road wheel balancing but this did not solve the problem. THIS VEHICLES PARKING BRAKE FAILS TO HOLD THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE, UNLESS THE TRANSMISSION IS ENGAGED IN "P" (PARK). As a result, the weight of the vehicle rests on the transmission notch that is engaged with the Park position of the transmission. Brakes squeal when backing up in the mornings and occasionally going forward. Maunufacturer is aware of the problem, but until recently would only allow dealers to order 1 repair kit per week. Now the manufacturer is allowing 4 kits per week to be ordered. This problem appears to affect 2/3s of all vehicles sold. Repair parts are taking 4 to 6 months to get. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
