When Automatic Height Control system check warning light comes ON, both LX570 traction control system and ABS behave strangely. This happened three time in one day. When the vehicle was in standing in an uphill to join the road, during acceleration, traction control system light starts to splash, vehicle would not move and hesitates. One has to drive slowly to avoid wheels spinning and making noise. When exiting from one highway and trying to join another highway in an uphill exit, when the brake is applied gently to control my speed, vehicle …

When I applying breaks when coming to stop, hears abnormal humming noise. Sound appears to be coming from driver front seat by breaks. Every time I apply the brakes, I hear the motor actuating, and I'm so anxious and worried that the brakes might not work. The brake is a life-threatening device, so I'm very anxious. Currently, Lexus says that it is normal to make sounds and there is nothing wrong with safety, but this is not normal. And it is a brake, so it cannot be normal for safety. Reference vehicle has only 71000 miles, yet according to Lexus dealer the rust has covered so much that vehicle is unrepairable compared to the car value. The rust has spread to frame that caused it to be to safety issue for the occupants. The suspension and associated parts have rusted, and fluids are leaking. Lexus hid the rust information during regular maintenance at the dealership only to claim that warranties are not honored for rust specially when extended warranty is just over.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING AT SPEED OF 30 TO 50 MILES AN HOUR SUDDENLY HAS SINGLE WHEELED FRONT BREAKING ON LEFT WHEEL OR RIGHT WHEEL ALL OF A SUDDEN. TENDS TO FEEL LIKE WHAT THE BRAKING SYSTEM DOES DURING THE ACTIVATION OF THE VEHICLE SKID CONTROL SYSTEM WHILE DRIVING ON SLIPPERY SURFACES IN WINTER LIGHT CONDITIONS. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PUT INTO REVERSE AFTER FIRST STARTING ENGINE, SHIFTING INTO REVERSE AND BACKING UP SHORT DISTANCE. THE FACT THAT THE VEHICLE DOES IT WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 30 TO 50 MILES AN HOUR IS QUITE DANGER…

HI THERE. HAVE BEEN A LATER OWNER OF A '00 LX470 WITH ROUGHLY 250K MILES. EARLY ON IN MY OWNERSHIP--WITH THE VEHICLE IN MOTION AND NO PRIOR WARNING-- THE ABS LIGHT COMES ON AND A LOUD BEEPING NOISE STARTS. WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF DRIVING, THE BRAKE PEDAL SUDDENLY GOES DEAD (PUSHES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR), AND I WAS FORCED TO BRING THE CAR TO A SAFE STOP WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. THE CURRENT REPAIR FOR THIS HAS BEEN COSTLY AND DIFFICULT--WITH A PROFESSIONAL SHOP INSPECTION INFORMING ME THAT MY MASTER CYLINDER/ACTUATOR HAS FAILED. THANKFUL NO DAMAG…
