Left side boost tube blown twice on my vehicle. Technical part info: 204-528-00-00, Charge Air Hose Both incidents involved sudden loss of power in the middle of the free way driving. First incident: Christmas Day 2018, on the way to Las Vegas from Grand Canyon visit, on highway 93. Fortunately, no vehicle was behind when I lost the power, moved to right lane and continued driving slowly to reach the hotel in LV (about 50 miles at low speeds). Check engine light came on immediately after loosing the power. Next day morning, visited the local …

WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY DURING RUSH HOUR MY MERCEDES GLK SUDDENLY SLOWED DOWN TO ABOUT 30MPH. THE CAR WAS UNRESPONSIVE AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. A .MESSAGE THAT SAID 'INOPERATIVE SEE OWNERS MANUAL' APPEARED. WE TURNED OFF THE CAR AND IT STARTED UP WITHOUT PROBLEM. WE WERE VERY FORTUNATE THAT WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OVER, AS THERE IS REPAIR WORK BEING DONE AND PART OF THE HIGHWAY DIDN'T HAVE A SHOULDER. WE WERE LUCKY THAT WE WERE NOT HIT. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT.

DRIVING 45-50 MPH ON THE ROAD ALONE AND AM STARTLED BY LOUD NOISE WHICH RESEMBLED A GUNSHOT. I IMMEDIATELY CHECKED THE DASH TO SEE IF ANY WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED BUT SAW NOTHING. AFTER A FEW MINUTES I LOOKED UP AND NOTICED MY PANORAMIC SUNROOF WHAT SHATTERED IN TINY PIECES. DEALERSHIP STATED THAT "NO OUTSIDE SOURCE FOUND CAUSING DAMAGE" TO THE SUNROOF. CAR IS UNDER AND EXTENDED WARRANTY AND MANUFACTURE HAS REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ISSUE.

Driving home mid morning Thursday , March 5, 2026 on smooth paved rural road, 50MPH, sunny, temp was 40 degrees, no vehicles anywhere near us, our Panoramic Sunroof shattered on our 2013 Mercedes GLK 250. We heard a loud "BANG", but had no idea what it was. I slowed down, pulled over and while looking up, I noticed the sunroof had completely shattered and cracks were spreading as we sat watching it. I drove home short distance and parked the GLK in the garage. There are no visible signs of an impact to the glass exterior nor interior. To keep …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
