The digital display system that indicates how many miles you have left until empty is not accurate. The dashboard display indicated that I had about 85 miles of range left before my tank was empty. Approximately 35 miles later, when there should have been 50 miles of range left according to the digital dashboard display, the vehicle ran out of gas and I was left stranded on the side of the freeway. This is a safety issue. I have read numerous reports of similar incidents with this vehicle in online forums.

The pressure relief valve part on our Mercedes van is causing a check engine light to go off with code P052E. It's a known issue on several MB models (GLB, C300, etc.) that this original part wears out and can potentially cause an under-hood fire if oil gets clogged up in the components. To my knowledge there is no routine maintenance that we missed that would be causing this issue. MB has since released a new style of PCV part with insulation wrapped around the hose to prevent condensation build up. It's not possible to get the original stye o…

Wheel speed sensors appear to fail on a routine basis (every 0-10 months), similar to the subject of recall 21V-042 on Sprinter vans. A check engine light on a Mercedes-Benz Metris, accompanied by a P052E code, often indicates a problem with the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system, specifically the PCV regulator valve or its associated components. This code signals that the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has detected an issue with the crankcase pressure, suggesting a malfunction in the PCV system's ability to regulate pressure.

Immediately after crossing the cattle guard, the power steering malfunctioned, an alarm sounded and this message in bright orange appeared on the instrument panel display “Power Steering Malfunction. See Owners Manual". I immediately pulled over and stopped the vehicle. Luckily, I had cell service, so I called my Mercedes-Benz dealership and talked to someone in the service department and I also called my mechanic…

Hi, I was driving at highway speeds, about 80mph through West Texas where the speed limit is 80MPH. I was pulling a trailer, there was a 40'ish MPH side-wind blowing pushing the vehicle to the center divider. As I was passing a semi on the outside of a curve, as I came upon the bow wake, the vehicle was pushed towards the center divider and encountered the rumble strip. At which point the power steering malfunctioned and completely turned off, leaving only manual steering. There was an error on the display indicating power steering malfunc…

Recently took my vehicle in to get the brakes check and inspected. Technician at Mercedes Benz noticed a fuel leak in the upper fuel line. We both thought was very odd because the vehicle only has 35k miles on it and the line is visibly in great condition. I did a little research and found that there was a recall for this exact issue. But it seems that my vin wasn’t in the recall. I contacted Mercedes and told me to reach out to you guys. I’ve had multiple issues with Mercedes upon the delivery of my van. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
