HE STATED THAT THE NOTICE ONLY SERVES AS AN EARLY DETECTION AND DOES NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WOULD LIKE HIS VEHICLE REPAIRED NOW BECAUSE HE IS CONCERNED THAT THE ENGINE WILL FAIL DURING HIS VACATION. AT THAT TIME, HIS VEHICLE WILL NO LONGER BE UNDER WARRANTY. THERE HAVE BEEN NO FAILURES TO DATE. THE PURCHASE DATE AND ENGINE SIZE WERE UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 20,000.

Recall history
2 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.
06V450000 · Visibility:Windshield Wiper/Washer:Motor
Reported: 2006-11-29 (November 29, 2006)
ON CERTAIN CLASS A MOTOR HOMES, THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTORS ARE UNDER-FUSED AND THE FUSE MAY FAIL.
Consequence: IF THE FUSE FAILS, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL STOP FUNCTIONING WHICH WOULD RESULT IN A DECREASE OF THE VISIBILITY OF THE OPERATOR AND COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A NEW 15 AMP AUTO RESETTING CIRCUIT BREAKER FUSE ON THE VEHICLE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 15, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.
NHTSA campaign record ↗07V311000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine:Diesel
Reported: 2007-07-20 (July 20, 2007)
ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES BUILT WITH CUMMINS ISL CM850 DIESEL ENGINES, THE CONNECTING ROD CONTAINS A MACHINING DEFECT IN THE WRIST PIN BUSHING OF THE ROD THAT COULD CAUSE A SEIZURE OF THE PISTON PIN.
Consequence: IF ALLOWED TO PROGRESS, THIS CAN LEAD TO ENGINE FAILURE WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF THE ROD RUPTURING THE LOCK CAVITY, OIL AND DEBRIS ON THE ROADWAY AND VEHICLE CRASH.
Remedy: MONACO IS WORKING WITH CUMMINS TO RECALIBRATE THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE AND ENHANCE THE ENGINE PROTECTION SYSTEM ENABLING IT TO PROVIDE EARLY DETECTION OF THE FAILURE MODE AND AVOID MORE SERIOUS ENGINE DAMAGE AND RESULTANT SAFETY HAZARD. CUMMINS WILL ALSO INSTALL A NEW VALVE COVER WITH A CRANKCASE PRESSURE SENSOR FREE OF CHARGE (PLEASE SEE 07E033). OWNERS MAY CONTACT CUMMINS AT 800-343-7357 OR MONACO AT 1-800-685-6545.

Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
