Recall history

7 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

17V470000 · Engine | Tires

Reported: 2017-07-24 (July 24, 2017)

Temsa Global Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (Temsa) is recalling certain 2014-2018 TS45 motorcoaches. During use or while servicing, the air bellow protection cover may be bent, allowing it to contact and potentially damage the tires on the tag axle.

Consequence: The contact may cause a tire to go flat, affecting vehicle handling and increasing the risk of crash.

Remedy: Temsa will notify owners, and dealers will replace the air bellow cover with a newly designed cover, free of charge. The recall began on September 12, 2017. Owners may contact CH Bus Sales, the US Agent for Temsa at 1-407-271-8935.

Reported: 2017-08-10 (August 10, 2017)

Temsa Global Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (Temsa) is recalling certain 2014-2018 TS45 coach buses. The hydraulic steering hose for the tag axle steering system may leak or burst during operation or service of the vehicle.

Consequence: If the hose bursts during vehicle operation, a loss of vehicle control can occur, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the leaking hydraulic fluid may contact hot engine components, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Temsa will notify owners, and dealers will replace the tag axle's steering hydraulic hoses, free of charge. The recall began on September 21, 2017. Owners may contact Temsa's agent, CH Bus Sales, at 1-407-271-8935.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."

Consequence: Delays in opening emergency exits can increase the risk of an injury in the event of an emergency.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
