Owner report 11508710 · 2023-02-23 (February 23, 2023)

My motorcycle began stalling when I pulled in the clutch and braked when approaching stops or when moving through slow speed turns. As time went on, it became more and more frequent. At least, once per ride. In December 2022, I took my Trident in for its annual service and mentioned the stalling to the technician. He said they would take a look at it and see what's up. When I picked up my bike, they said that they did not experience any stalling during their test ride after the service. Because they were not able to replicate the issue, no wor…

Owner report 11508829 · 2023-02-23 (February 23, 2023)

When I slow down my bike and hold in the clutch, the engine will cut off. This can happen as I'm coming to a stoplight or it has also happened during turns which is extremely dangerous on a motorcycle. I have taken my bike to the dealer and they supposedly fixed the problem, but fast forward 7 months later to this month and the problem has resurfaced even more severe than before. It happens every day I ride the bike and I am a daily rider.

22V062000 · Structure:Motorcycle:Kickstand/Center Stand

Reported: 2022-02-04 (February 4, 2022)

Triumph Motorcycles America, Ltd. (Triumph) is recalling certain 2022 Trident motorcycles. The side stand may not support the weight of the motorcycle and bend, causing the motorcycle to become unstable while parked.

Consequence: An unstable motorcycle may fall over, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the side stand, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 2, 2022. Owners may contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010. Triumph's number for this recall is SRAN 593.

I had the dealership, Jay Hatfield Motorsports of Wichita, Kansas take care of the recall not long after I bought my motorcycle, in 2023. Two years later I took the motorcycle back to the dealership because the problem persisted. The dealership is still wanting to charge me for the Parts and labor on the recall issue. I do not think this is a fair business practice as it is in their best interest and mine to cover the costs of the failed recall fix. My motorcycle had been dying in the highway. Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison
