| Unknown Or Other | 00.0%No examples available for this selection. | 360.0%ODI 11572346Retractable awning (by Carefree) has continued problems opening and closing, which can occur while the vehicle is traveling on highways, causing a potential hazard to vehicle occupants and other vehicles on the road. This problem has had a recall by Winnebago with repairs, which we have had performed, but it has not solved the problem. Neither Winnebago nor Carefree has a good solution for the problem (continued recall repairs by many other Navion owners have also been unsuccessful)and will not assist with it. There are many documented cases of… | 360.0%ODI 11476149The issue involves the main propane hose that runs from the propane tank to the manifold on my 2021 Winnebago Navion. The Winnebago parts graphic (attached) shows the hose crossing under the RV ahead of the rear tire. On mine, the hose goes over the rear driver's tire wheel well and crossed behind the tire to the manifold. Upon arriving home and smelling propane, I discovered the hose had been severed in two in the wheel well. It appears the hose may have had sufficient slack that the tire caught it and sliced it in half. With phone calls to the supplier of the Awning (Carefree Awnings of Colorado) their customer service is suggesting a on off switch. Winnebago are not agreeing with a on off switch, and the are installing a motor brake wedge and a software update. This is not safe, the awning is still self deploying. This is a major safety risk for property damage and or life threatening road debris. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |

I resolved the problem by disconnecting power to the awning and then restarting it. Even though it appears to have closed properly, concerns about it opening randomly while driving have prompted me to secure it using tape and zip ties. There are numerous accounts online regarding random deployment of the awning. The mounting screws are pulling out of the roof. I intend to bring it to the dealer for repair. There was no warning that this situation was occurring. I was inspecting the awning due to a different awning recall issue and found this condition. If it had gone undetected, it would have eventually separated from the roof and could have caused major damage to my vehicle or other vehicles on the highway. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |

The RV has sic such compartments. I Drove from Maryland (the state of my residence) to Forest City to Iowa to address one of the doors (Propane compartment). The manufacturer fixed that issue free of charge. A few days later (today) while driving, the door to the compartment behind the Propane one popped open. | Air Bags | 1100.0%ODI 11253165 · 1,000 miTAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A NOTICE MARCH 2019 ABOUT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG ON MY WINNEBAGO NAVION ON A MERCEDES SPRINTER CHASIS. I HAVE YET TO BE NOTIFIED THAT THE PART IS AVAILABLE. MY WIFE IS AFRAID TO RIDE IN IT WITH ME. SO WE CAN NOT GO RVING TOGETHER. MY QUESTION IS WHEN WILL A PART BE AVAILABLE, OR SECONDLY IS THIS REALLY A PROBLEM AND THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY CONCERN TO SAFELY RIDE. IT IS A REAL BUMMER TO HAVE PURCHASED A NEW RV AND THEN NOT BE ABLE TO USE IT. HOW SOON SHOULD A PART BE AVAILABLE.? | 00.0%No examples available for this selection. | 00.0%No examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 00.0%No examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. | 0UnavailableNo examples available for this selection. |

Within a minute we smelled an electrical fire and disconnected the battery. We had it towed to Mercedes Benz. They disassembled the floor board on the drivers side and found all the wiring melted. After calling a mobile technician out, and upon research of similar events, it was determined that the Electronic Ignition System had failed. We had the RV towed to Mercedes Service Center in Asheville, NC where the problem was confirmed. It appears that internal windshield condensation can drain into the dash and onto the EIS module resulting in corrosion and subsequent failure. Emerging complaint spikes
Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.
This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.
No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.
Equal-age model-year comparison
Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
2022: 0 complaints · 2023: 6 complaints
| Model year | Through age 0 | Through age 1 | Through age 2 |

Date coverage across each selected cohort
| Year | Incident dates used | Filing date fallbacks | Excluded dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 2023 | 6 | 0 | 0 |
Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
