WE HAD COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE AND THE BRAKE PEDDLE WENT RIGHT TO THE FLOOR. WE HAVE A WORKHORSE P32 AND I HAD TO APPLY THE E BRAKE TO STOP THE RV. WE HAD IT TOWED TO A FORD TRUCK SHOP AND FOUND OUT THE BRAKE CALIPERS AND ALL OTHER COMPONENTS WERE EITHER BURNT OR CRACKED. THIS SURE DOESN'T SEEM RIGHT TO ME SINCE THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE WORKHORSE W SERIES AND NOT THE P SERIES!

I AM THE OWNER OF A 2008 WINNEBAGO SIGHTSEER WITH A WORKHORSE W18 CHASSIS WHICH WAS PURCHASED NEW IN 2009. ON 4/11/12, I HAD AN ABS WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD THAT DISPLAYED AN INDICATION TO "CHECK ABS!" AND TOOK IT TO CHILHOWEE RV ON 4/14/12. AFTER INSPECTION OF THE CHASSIS AND FRONT WHEELS, CHILHOWEE DETERMINED THAT THE ABS SENSOR ON THE DRIVER FRONT WHEEL HAD BURNED OUT DUE TO OVERHEATING OF THE WHEEL. THE FRONT BRAKES HAD EXCESSIVELY WORN PADS AND A SCORCHED ROTOR, CALIPERS WOULDN'T RELEASE, AND BRAKE LINE WAS NOT RELEASING FLUID CAUSED…

DURING A STOP FOR A TRAFFIC LIGHT I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 30 MPH AND WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED TO AMBER, I DEPRESSED THE BRAKE SLIGHTLY HARDER THAN USUAL. WHEN THIS HAPPENED TWO OF THE LINES FROM THE ABS CONTROLLER TO THE WHEELS LEAKED AND BRAKE FLUID WAS SPRAYED ON THE EXHAUST SYSTEM CREATING MUCH SMOKE. SINCE THERE WAS NO CROSS TRAFFIC A COLLISION WAS AVOIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED FOR REPAIRS AND ALL OF THE HOSES FROM THE ABS CONTROLLER SHOW SIGNIFICANT SIGNS OF RUST. THIS…

2006 WINNEBAGO SIGHTSEER HAS SIDE PANELS BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND SIDE WINDOWS. THE BRACKETS AND SCREWS HOLDING THE SIDE PANELS CAN RUST AND BLOW OFF THE MOTOR HOME WHILE TRAVELING AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. RAIN CAN TRAVEL INSIDE AND ACROSS THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD AND CAUSE STRESS CRACKS IN THE WINDOW. THE CENTER VERTICAL METAL BAR BETWEEN THE TWO PIECES OF GLASS CAN RUST AWAY AND CAUSE MORE STRESS ON THE GLASS WINDSHIELD. *TR

OUR 2012 WINNEBAGO SIGHTSEER 30A COMES EQUIPPED WITH A SINGLE PEDESTAL AIR-ASSISTED DINETTE TABLE. OUR ORIGINAL PEDESTAL BEGAN LOWERING BY ITSELF, AND BECOMING VERY DIFFICULT TO LIFT BACK TO TABLE LEVEL. WE FOUND IT HAD STARTED TO COMPLETELY LOWER WHILE DRIVING. THE ISSUE IS THAT THE 2 PASSENGER SEAT BELTS ARE LOCATED IN THE DINETTE, AND IF THE TABLE FALLS IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO THE PASSENGERS LEGS, OR COULD MAKE IT DIFFICULT, OR IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUT IN AN EMERGENCY. THE PEDESTAL COMES WITH 2 PRESSURE CLAMPS, BUT NOTHING THAT WOULD LOCK TH…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
