WE BOUGHT THIS COACH NEW. IN 2009 WE WERE TRAVELING IN LOUISIANA ON A MAIN HIGHWAY AND THE ENGINE GRILL ON THE BACK APPARENTLY DETACHED AND FLEW OFF. WE DISCOVERED IT HAD BEEN ATTACHED WITH 2 SIDED TAPE (4 PIECES APPROX 2 IN LONG EA.) SINCE THAT TIME WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED 3 OTHER VEHICLES OF THE SAME MODEL THAT HAD SIMILAR ISSUES. THE GRILL IS 4 + FEET WIDE AND ABT 16 IN LONG.

Driving on Interstate, heard a loud noise. Nothing on roadway. MotorHome mechanic noticed that driver’s side was not pumping up. The loud noise was the driver’s side air bag exploding. The steering column was affected by the explosion. The turn signal box has slipped down. Scheduled to be taken to shop on Monday 6/17/2024.

THIS REPORT IS ON A FAILED ODOMETER. AT AROUND 53100 MILES THE ODOMETER SET TO ZERO AND STARTED COUNTING FORWARD AGAIN. I BROUGHT THE COACH TO A FREIGHTLINER DEALER IN DALLAS, TX. WHEN THE COACH WAS RECEIVED I WAS INFORMED THAT THE ODOMETER COULD NOT BE CALIBRATED TO THE CORRECT AND KNOWN MILEAGE INDICATED BY ANOTHER ENGINE MONITORING COMPUTER. THE ACTUAL MILEAGE ON THE COACH AT THE TIME OF THE REPAIR WAS 53913. WHILE WAITING FOR THE REPAIRS TO BE COMPLETED I FOUND ANOTHER COACH THROUGH THE INTERNET IN FL THAT I WANTED TO TRADE MY COACH …

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

Incident date is preferred when valid and no later than filing; otherwise filing date is used. Model year approximates age. Equal observation time does not adjust for sales, distance driven or reporting delays. One complaint linked to multiple model years can appear in each cohort.
