1. Transmission. Stays in higher gears at stops. When starting out it barely moves in response to gas pedal increase. At about 3,000 RPMs it engages and jerks violently ahead. After this happened several times I noticed the transmission gear light was in a higher gear at stop, like 7th gear. Therefore the motor had to rev up to 7th gear speed before it would move adequately. Has to be hard on the transmission when this happens, also embarrassing and very dangerous should you have to cross a busy roadway quickly. It also downshifts suddenly all …

New 2022 Ford F-150 vehicle has a "Rear Brake Assist Not Available" dash warning with accompanting DTCs B1578:78, IPMA Error, and U023A, Lost Communication with Image Processing Module A. I should note my Check Engine Light never came on for either of these DTCs - I was given these codes by the dealer when I took vehicle in for service concerning the aforementioned dash warning. After having the vehicle for 10 days in May 2022, the dealer replaced the rear camera (ML3Z-19G490-C), control assembly (ML3Z-14G647-R), and performed an IPMA calibrat…

I was driving about 50 mph traveling from Bethel, NC to Canton, NC and was approaching Canton so I was slowing down. The first traffic light was red so I stopped behind another car. When the light turned green I lightly pressed the accelerator and nothing happened, it was like the engine failed to power up. I looked at the instruments and noticed the transmission was stuck in 8th-gear. Suddenly it rolled down to 1st gear and the vehicle literally leaped across the intersection. Fortunately the car in front had moved out normally or the "le…

When turning on the radio, there was a very loud pop like a gunshot or firework going off in the cab followed by sustained white noise coming from the speaker system at full volume. The volume and radio buttons did not impact the volume of the sound requiring the driver to pull over, shut the vehicle off, and open the door in order to make the sound stop. The volume of the sound was loud enough that the driver was forced to release the steering wheel to plug their ears. Upon restart the vehicle produced the sound again.

I leased this vehicle as new a couple of months ago. The rear view camera was not working. The dealership in West Branch Michigan assured me that they would fix it. Subsequent visits and followup with dealership have been unsuccessful in the fix. During this time I almost ran over my grand daughter when backing up with no rear view camera. Very dangerous. Also any components relying on the rear view camera are also disabled. I beleive Ford has a concern in fixing this problem. It could result in a serious accident with pedistrian.

I had warranty work done on a trailer brake module on October 23, 2023. About 3 weeks after that it seemed like my transmission was a little rough. Then Nov. 6, I had several incidences where I was at a stop, and it felt like someone hit me from behind and lurch my truck forward a little bit. It seems very dangerous. In case someone in a crosswalk is walking in front of me I could possibly hit them up. My Ford diagnostic tells me that it is the electric transmission fluid pump. Parked running boards do. Or always go up, lighting stays on for 10 min, have to go play with on/off over and over and to get it to shutoff. On the HwY BC shuts off out of nowhere, and ping pongs back and forth. Get messages saying drivetrain failure, steering failure go to the Dealer naturally. Nothing wrong. Day time running lamps on the side of the headlight have burnt out. First time it was the passenger side that died, had it replaced under warranty. then a few month later after my warranty was up, the driver side has now died as well. The fact I have had this truck 2 and a half year and both have failed is unacceptable. I see every single F150 on the road with THE EXACT SAME ISSUE! This isn't a fluke or bad luck on my vehicle. From my research online, tons of others are complaining about it too. The dealership wanted $2400.00 to replace it, wi…

When sitting at a stop light/stop sign/a complete stop, the truck will switch to electric mode... after about five to seven seconds, the truck "jumps" -- if feels like you just got rear ended. Truck currently at the dealership with no known ETA on repair.

I just started the truck, put it in gear, and began driving slowly through the parking lot. The gas pedal was unresponsive, even when pressed all the way to the floor, the truck would not accelerate or move. This has happened multiple times, both while rolling slowly and sometimes from a complete stop. It occurs intermittently.

After driving home from work on 12/20/24 the truck was parked at ~10pm. At ~1AM on 12/21/24, I was alerted that the truck was on fire. I found the vehicle fully engulfed in the hood and cab area. There was no prior indication of a problem or issue. The truck was fully destroyed and my home and Jeep were damaged. My home was damaged and only saved because I brought my garden hose out and sprayed the house until the local FD arrived. The local Fire Investigator and the Insurance Fire investigator could it definitively identify how/why the truck c…

I took my 2022 f150 powerboost with max tow package to the dealer because of an audible noise coming from the rear passenger side. Ford discovered the axle bolt broke and is floating. Ford said the vehicle is “unsafe to drive” No warning lights. Just a slight squeal noise. If I hadn’t read about other people having this issue my wife would be driving this “unsafe to drive” vehicle right now with our baby.

I have a hybrid powertrain. When the vehicle is in normal mode (hybrid mode - engine off) and I am at a stop after about 3-5 seconds sometimes the vehicle will feel like it is going to move forward even though I have my foot on the brake. When this happens the vehicle will jerk or feel like it was hit from behind. The event is very jarring and scary as you think the vehicle is going to move forward even though you have your foot on the brake.

Vehicle loss of power!! After turning occasionally I will only have enough power to remain at low low speed. Sometimes having to pull over to side of the road because I can’t gain speed and traffic is coming quickly. Problem lasts 30 seconds or more before it kicks in. Doesn’t matter if my foot is pressed to the floor there is no response.

While in 4A, at a stop the vehicle lurched forward. This repeated 5 times having come to a stop with brake pedal depressed or not (autohold).
