04V387000 · Service Brakes, Hydraulic:Pedals And Linkages

Reported: 2004-08-05 (August 5, 2004) · Model years: 2003, 2004

ON CERTAIN MOTORCYCLES, THE REAR BRAKE LINKAGE IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO CORROSION WHICH CAN CAUSE BINDING AND ROUGH BRAKE OPERATION. AS CORROSION INCREASES, IT CAN CAUSE A STICKING PEDAL OR REQUIRE HIGH BRAKE PEDAL EFFORT.

Consequence: LINKAGE COULD BREAK RESULTING IN A LOSS OF REAR BRAKE FUNCTION WHICH COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SPHERICAL ROD END AND ASSOCIATED PARTS. THIS RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 4, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009.

Remedy: HONDA WILL SEND A POSTCARD TO DEALERS AND OWNERS WITH THE CORRECT NHTSA VEHICLE SAFETY HOTLINE INFORMATION AND WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO INSERT THE CARD INTO THE "REPORTING SAFETY DEFECTS" SECTION OF THE OWNER'S MANUAL. THE RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 2, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HONDA AT 1-800-999-1009, ACURA AT 1-800-382-2238 OR HONDA MOTORCYCLES AT 1-866-784-1870.

24V864000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery:Fuel Pump

Reported: 2024-11-15 (November 15, 2024) · Model years: 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017

Consequence: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel pump module as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 3, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-866-784-1870. 25V891000 · Engine And Engine Cooling:Engine:Hard Parts Internal/Mechanical

Reported: 2025-12-18 (December 18, 2025) · Model years: 2024, 2025, 2026

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2024-2026 CBR600RR motorcycles. The cylinder head may have been improperly manufactured, which can lead to rod bearing failure, possibly resulting in rear wheel lock up or oil leaking onto the rear tire.

Consequence: Rear wheel lockup increases the risk of a crash or injury. Engine oil that leaks onto hot exhaust components increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the engine assembly, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed February 9, 2026. A second letter will be sent once the remedy is available, anticipated October 31, 2026. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Nothing has happened, but this recall for my vehicle was release several months ago and since then has had no updates on arrival of fuel pump. If at all possible there needs to be a timely release so that there are no potential issues in the future regarding the recalled fuel pump.

To Whom It May Concern, I am the owner of a 2026 Honda CBR600RR. I recently learned that this motorcycle is affected by an active recall related to potential engine defects that can lead to oil loss, rod bearing failure, and possible rear wheel lock. As a new rider, I do not feel safe operating this motorcycle until the recall repair is fully implemented. The first stage of the recall was completed prior to my purchase, but the defect persists and the permanent remedy is not yet available. I request the following actions be documented and ad…

I had the fuel pump recall (NHTSA ID 24V-113) performed on my 2019 Honda CBR600RR at a certified dealership. After the repair, I discovered multiple serious safety issues that made the motorcycle significantly more dangerous than it was before the recall: The fuel tank vent line was crushed under the tank during reassembly, completely blocking the vent system. This caused a vacuum lock that made the fuel cap impossible to open after riding, creating a risk of fuel starvation, fuel pump failure, or even tank deformation. The fuel level…

Dear Honda Motor Co., Inc. Customer Service, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the service I received at Lilliston Honda in Vineland, New Jersey, concerning a recall repair on my motorcycle. I dropped off my 2013 Honda CBR600RR at the dealership on August 19, 2025, for a recall related to the fuel pump. The motorcycle has experienced frequent and dangerous engine shutdowns while riding, and difficulty starting afterward. I also mentioned to the service staff that the fuel pump priming sound is often absent when this occurs. …

The oil level in my motorcycle has continued to drop every time I take it to the dealership to get inspected, and 7 months after I was notified about the recall, there is still no repair available for my vehicle. This is unacceptable as i am unable to ride my motorcycle across long distances and am inconvenienced every 300 miles to get it inspected at my dealership. There needs to be a solution asap to repair my vehicle.

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.

UPON PURCHASING MY MOTORCYCLE, THE FIRST TIME AFTER GETTING IT HOME IT REFUSED TO START. IN TROUBLESHOOTING THE ISSUE, I FOUND THE KILL SWITCH WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I WIGGLED THE SWITCH AND IT EVENTUALLY STARTED. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE THAT DAY, AND I WAS THINKING IF THE ISSUE WERE TO OCCUR WHILE RIDING, IT COULD CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I THINK IT IS WORTH LOOKING INTO IF IT CAN BE CORRECTED PERMANENTLY. *TR

Engine stalling at higher rpm and there are intermittent acceleration issues, likely to be caused by the fuel pump or fuel intake to the engine. My safety and the safety of others was put at risk due to inconsistent acceleration and deceleration. The vehicle has not been inspected yet but it is available for inspection. No messages or indicators on the dash popped up. There is an open recall for fuel pumps related to the 2007 Honda CBR600RR. The specific manufacture dates call for Oct 2006 to Dec 2006. My bike was put together Jan 2007.
