Recall history

1 distinct campaigns affect this selection. Announcement dates below are different from vehicle model years. A campaign may cover multiple years.

24V864000 · Fuel System, Gasoline:Delivery:Fuel Pump

Reported: 2024-11-15 (November 15, 2024)

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2007, 2009-2017 CBR600RR, 2008-2017, 2021 CBR1000RR, and 2010, 2012-2013 VFR1200 motorcycles. The fuel pump impellers may have been improperly molded, which can cause them to deform and result in fuel pump failure.

Consequence: Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel pump module as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed January 3, 2025. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-866-784-1870. Honda's numbers for this recall are KR2, KR3, KR4 and KR5. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall number 24V-113.

Dear Honda Motor Co., Inc. Customer Service, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the service I received at Lilliston Honda in Vineland, New Jersey, concerning a recall repair on my motorcycle. I dropped off my 2013 Honda CBR600RR at the dealership on August 19, 2025, for a recall related to the fuel pump. The motorcycle has experienced frequent and dangerous engine shutdowns while riding, and difficulty starting afterward. I also mentioned to the service staff that the fuel pump priming sound is often absent when this occurs. …

Nothing has happened, but this recall for my vehicle was release several months ago and since then has had no updates on arrival of fuel pump. If at all possible there needs to be a timely release so that there are no potential issues in the future regarding the recalled fuel pump.

To Whom It May Concern, I am the owner of a 2026 Honda CBR600RR. I recently learned that this motorcycle is affected by an active recall related to potential engine defects that can lead to oil loss, rod bearing failure, and possible rear wheel lock. As a new rider, I do not feel safe operating this motorcycle until the recall repair is fully implemented. The first stage of the recall was completed prior to my purchase, but the defect persists and the permanent remedy is not yet available. I request the following actions be documented and ad…

Emerging complaint spikes

Complete months in the latest six months with at least 10 complaints, at least twice the preceding 12-month average, and at least three square-root deviations above that average.

This is a descriptive screening rule, not a statistical defect finding. Publicity and reporting changes can increase submissions.

No complete months meet the spike thresholds for this selection.

Equal-age model-year comparison

Model-wide cumulative reports during the first three or five calendar years, starting with the model year (age 0). Only fully elapsed windows are compared.
